Not sure what you mean about the lanscape at Blackman has changed and Turnham hasn't changed with it yet. I do agree, Turnham may be one of the better X's and O's coaches in the city, but he gets a fat "0" in being able to relate to kids and coach those X's and O's. He has had ample time to fix that part of his coaching, and he hasn't. He is not a spring chicken, and if he hasn't fixed that part of his personality as it relates to coaching, get somebody else. He has had plenty of time, and players both past and present, all say the same, he does not relate well. Oh yea, talent, he's had at least 5 starters on other teams in the city not come to the Blackman BB program in the last 3 to 4 years because of him. The word is out and he hasn't fixed it. By the way, I have to say this before somebody tries to get something started, him relating well is to all races, not one or the other.

Is it just me or were yall not singing turnhams praises not too long ago about how great of a coach he is? Did he forget how to coach? Did he change? I dont understand how he can be a good coach one year and now he needs to change or he is gone?

I thought he did a good job last year because there was no athletic ability on last years team. This year, he has athletic ability and size to compete with at least average teams but his team is just as bad and probably worse right now. He did not deserve to lose his job last year because he did all you could ask with what he had. He is not doing that yet this year.

BY "LANDSCAPE CHANGE" I MEAN WINNING ATTITUDE. FOOTBALL, BASEBALL, WRESTLING, GIRLS BASKETBALL ETC. THE BLACKMAN PROGRAM IS ON THE RISE. THERE'S NO REASON BOYS BASKETBALL SHOULDN'T BE ON THE UPSWING AS WELL. THIS GROUP OF KIDS ARE WINNERS. AS TO YOUR LAST SENTENCE.. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH RACE. TRUST ME, HIS CHARACTER AS A MAN IS NOT IN QUESTION.

I think in this game one of two things will happen. Either Riverdale wins a close one, or Shelbyville wins by 15+. Its really hard to tell much about Riverdale at this point simply because they havent been tested. They have looked good from what I have seen. But then again that was against some bad comp. Thats why its hard to tell. I'm going to say Shelbyville 62 Riverdale 45.

Riverdale doesnt have anyone that can stop Andrews and Shelbyville's bigs will frustrate Riverdale inside.

Good luck to my Stars tonight @ Columbia :thumb:

This is definitely Riverdale's boys stiffest test to this point. I think that Siegel will roll Columbia pretty handily probably at least 15. Beating Shelbyville at Shelbyville is tough to do. However, I don't see Riverdale getting beat by 15. Shelbyville only beat Blackman by 10 and I think that right now Riverdale is playing better than the Blaze.

    • So much talk about an investigation about student record manipulation and then everything has went silent. Has anyone heard how the investigation is going?
    • Basically what you're saying is schools can basically bully students around and get away with it because they are protected. I agree to a certain extent but when schools decisions to keep knuckleheads on staff starts costing kids careers and a college education there is a problem. Our school system last week had a teacher supposedly push a kid and the parents went to the law and the teacher is suspended. So I wouldn't say that they can just do what they want without liability. This case don't pass the smell test because the coach had already been fired before and she got fired after a year on the job. Sounds like the student was right in this case on the outside looking in because the coach gets fired after one year. How many coaches get fired after one year?? Not many.
    • Problem with DB football goes beyond coaching. Like Waco said. Thr band is the main focus of their community and school. They have the resources to be a championship level team. Guarantee Ballard or Witten could have them nationally relevant at some point but everyone down to peewee would have to buy in and at DB we all know that would never happen.
    • I know the RB from OR he’s fast and has good hands. Is good on special teams also. Didn’t want to play defense over to the Ridge.
