For Webb to have a chance to win this game they will have to first and foremost be at full strength physically. They have several players who are nursing injuries. This past Friday night they had to go to a couple of RBs who haven't even taken a snap this year on offense.

If they end up with all of their starters ready to go then I would expect this to be a hard fought game from start to finish. I still don't think Webb has any idea what kind of team they have since their opponents up to this point have been pretty weak.

I'm a Catholic fan, but quite frankly, based on the way Webb and Catholic have each been playing, I think the Spartans finally break their 7 year losing streak to the Irish and it may not be all that close. On the other hand, it is a rivalry game, so hopefully that (in combination with the way they played against William Blount) will be enough to inspire the Irish.

first off let me begin with informing everyone who didnt already know... CATHOLIC HASN'T LOST TO webb IN 7 YEARS. Webb is undefeated so far this season for the simple reason that they havent played anybody. Basically I could put a team full of kids with broken legs in wheelchairs and beat ezell harding. Webb is not that big i mean they have Tre Waters a kid who is maybe 5'8 150 at linebacker. granite they do have aaron blance in the black field but once you get in his head from a big hit he is done. caleb aint nothin special and the wide outs pretty much suck. once again it never gets old beating webb and catholic is gonna do it agin this year...

CATHOLIC: 101

webb: 19

they do have a good D. Maybe not best in the state, they've blanked an unproductive halls team and several others-don't get me wrong they are good. It's going to be a lot harder than 2 years ago over at webb, ill tell you that. The blance brothers are both good athletes, but we have some athletes of our own. I'm not here to BS everyone and say we're going to kill webb or webb is going to kill Catholic, but honestly neither team really knows what the other has coming.

    • Good ole Bradley Zulliger. He was a really good QB @ OR. Fun to watch.  Wore #15 and was like a mini Tebow, with the exception of being right handed. He could take a pounding and keep on ticking. Played with a collapsed lung against Powell that year. Tough as nails.
    • They should be pretty good in year two for Rang.  Replacing most of the offensive production losing Dozier, Hayward and Rembert , but they're are skill kids in place ready for their shot.  I know I say this every year, but the o line should show improvement after two years in Rang and Kevin Day's weight program.  I still would favor West over Plow and OR come November.  The Rebs will have to grow up a bunch between now and then, and will probably take some lumps along the way with that schedule.  But I predict come playoff time they will be ready.   One of their coaches half joked to me that they could go 5-5 regular season and win the state championship.  Ha ha.
    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
