In over thirtyfive years of watchin Peabody football, I have never heard so many people frustrated with how things are. Anyone in the stands can see the lack of discipline, the negativity from the head coach, and the general poor attitude of the players. Good grief, are we supposed to be happy with a 16-6 win over Greenfield? You gotta be kiddin me. It was bad under Davis back in the early 80s. It was bad under Graves in the late 80s. This is worse. Will someone in charge please step up and make a change? This ship is sunk.

Than you my friend i myself have been around this game over fifty years. Everyone that is a football in Trenton is frustrated. As i posted before Scott is not a head coach Peabody has to much talent for it to go to waste every year! They is no doubt that changes need to be made in Trenton! But until then it will be no better. The School Board or ever who does hiring and firing need to make some change. For the supporters of Trenton i hope that something is done in the off season. If not it will be the same old song next year! I hope someone does step up and make a change please someone we need help!! :roflol:

guys im from mckenzie, no dog in this race, but i couldnt get over the talent Trenton had. THey were loaded with size and speed.. Im not sure who the coach is there and i dont know if that is the problem, but i do they had plenty of athletes to beat the rebels but we got away with a big win.. when i saw them warming up i couldnt believe they were 0-3 or 0-2 whatever it was at that time.. I wish the peabody tide good luck with their program, i think them and mckenzie have a some good games last 4 or 5 years...

The Peabody faithful wasn't complaining when they made it to the state semifinals though. Talent comes in cycles. Peabody will be back in another year or two. From what I hear, they play alot of Freshman and Sophomores. Be patient.

Yes they are loaded with young players but simply have no coach. Harper needed no coach he was simply Peabody's offense for 3 years. People know you have to rebuild but going 2-8 and probrably 4-6 this year. Ever one in Trenton is tired of it just walk into the local stores and everone is saying the same thing. Peaboby simply has no head coach thats just a fact! I know they not going to go 10-0 and 9-1 ever year! Rebuliding and your ship just sinking is two diferent things! Young talent does you no good if u have no one to coach them! I not going to beat this in the ground i seen alot of football in 50 plus years. This may be the worse coaching staff Peabody has ever had. I asure ever one that is a tide fan is frustated and upset!! If no changes are made the same results will happen next year! :roflol:

That is my point and no matter the size of the player. No matter the talent of the player or of the whole team. Just like in college if you can recruit but have no coaching well there you go! There is no excuse for Peabody to be 1-3 everone is upset in Trenton and screaming get a coach! This will go on till something is done!

So you're saying that good coaching had no impact on Harper developing his talent? Harper was so naturally good that he didn't need a coach? If that's the case, if Trenton has such talented players, who's coaching doesn't really matter.

Trenton has a lot of young players, they can't be expected to come out and be superstars like Harper. Give them a year or two and they'll have a very athletic team.

There's an old story I was told when I was younger about football from a coach I know. The number of freshman and sophomores you have starting on your team, will be the number of losses you suffer in the season. In many cases, that rule hold rules.

Firing a coach when things start to get bad isn't always the right solution.

Perhaps you are right but nobody is going to change my mind. Its simple they need a coaching change and 95% of Peabody fans will tell you the same thing!! The big time local sponsers are tired of it as much as any one! I am not going to beat it in the ground if the trends continues something has to be done!! He may be there another ten years so be it but it won't get any better just that simply! Do you kept holding on to a coach that goes 2-8 4-6 if that is the case UT needs Fulmer back!! You can tell everbody else in Trenton we don't need a coaching change but i don't buy it!!

oldschoolpeabody and zebra99, you are absolutely correct!! The players are dropping like flies, not just because we're not winning, but they're tired of the overall attitude and incompetence of the coaching staff! For some reason, Trenton doesn't want to go outside of its zip code to hire anyone. They've got like 6 people on the staff who are Peabody graduates! Whats up with that? They need to look elsewhere for coaching talent and that is just all there is to it!!

I sure am glad I am not the only one feeling this way! Peabody football stinks right now and Scott is the one to blame. Before they hired Scott there were many more very qualified coaches that put their resumes in the hat but i guess since they were not from Trenton they didn't even have a chance! Things need to change in Trenton or we will never be able to compete in any sport not just football. I know Coach Scott and Haney are best buddies but when things Ain't working you have to put that aside and do what is best for the team and the town of Trenton. I hope the right people are seeing these messages and they do something about it. Hey Haney or whoever is in charge stepup and hire a new head coach, the people of Trenton are begging!!!!!

No you are not alone many fans and supporters in this town are sick and tired of losing! I been around this game over fifty years, there is no sense in letting this go on. I don't pretend to be a expert or nothing like that but enough is enough. Peabody has become the laughing stock of football around here. I was talking to a big sponsor of Peabody the other night and he said the whole town is getting feed up! Like i stated i don't expect go 9-1 10-0 every year . But the problem is Peabody has to much talent on a yearly basic not to be competitive. There is no excuse none at all in this!! Peabody has lost its pride the kids have as you say are getting to the point where they just want to get the season over! I agree with you i hope ever who is in charge can see this posts and do something about this mess!! Not saying Scott is not a good man he is but he is no coach!! I understand teams rebuild but during that period you are suppose to be able to compete and that is simply not happening!! Come on Peabody fans you can't be happy with being in the playoffs every 4 or 5 years. Wasted talent year in and out because they won't go outside the rim to hire a good coach! I'll leave saying please somebody help!! :thumb:

    • Upperman White County both will be loaded. Dyersbirg and South Side will be a handful as well. Getting about that time in about 3 weeks we start watching summer scrimmages. Dyersburg loaded loaded loaded with talent. Most talent ever I have seen in their program.
    • We, SP, blanked them 10-0 in sectional game during 21 season.
    • The amount of people pooing on UH is crazy. They're a noticably better team than last year when they made state and were competitive , AND they run ruled Eagleville a few weeks ago. Now I understand Eagleville was missing a few guys, but they still. They. Run. Ruled. Eagleville. 1st single A team to run rule Eagleville since when? Pre 2017??
    • If that Yellow Paint is all gone I'll flat bet it didn't wash off there. I bet that took some scrubbing to remove that if it is gone. Lacrosse is one of those northern sports all these misplaced Yankee's that are posion to the community brought in by  (Blount Partnership, ( The Devil) with them so somebody allowed them to paint their markings on the field that cost more than the twenty top people on payroll at Maryville make a year. All this to please the 1% Club and the 25 people that would come to see it. All in the name of WOKE!!!!!!
