I did not get to attend the SD game in Morristown against East, so I cannot speak for them. I did see West play SD in the rain on Friday. They have a good fullback (30) and a good tailback (2), but nothing else on offense. There line seemed to be slow and not able to block a poor SD defense. The defense shut us out (but that is not saying much considering our offense is awful). They have a big front and play hard. Kicker just missed a 50 yard FG. Based only on the scores of the games against SD, I would give the advantage to East.

West wins with defense, which East has struggled with.

 

West 31-14

I agree defense wins championship, I not sure how good Morristown West defense is just yet.

Morristown East will score on Morristown West, the question will be: can Morristown East Stop

West offense enought to get the win? Turnover will play a big part in the outcome.

 

If East Score more than 28 points, Canes Win!

 

Good luck too both Teams, let's have a full house. :mrgreen:

well, morristown east does have Tee Howell. But, Tee Howell is not going to be playing as of what i've heard through players from East. Tee has a high ankle sprain.

And yes West does have players like Tee H., its just hard to get them the ball when the other team is keying on them the whole night.

24-14 west.

Beating Morristown West just got alot harder if T-Howell is out. A high ankle sprain could mean

he is out 3-4 weeks. If anyone know for sure, :thumb: please give a updated. GO Canes!

A poor SD defense??You mean a group of kids who are playing both ways all the game?

The kids really appreciate your support!Just stay at home next time....

I never said they didn't play hard or both ways. I simply said they were not very good. Don't get your panties in a wad.

      Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?

      Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
