AC at Clinton

Can someone in the know clear the air - TSSAA announced yesterday that they've vacated Clinton's win over Halls (along with Central's wins over Karns and Hardin Valley). If AC wins this game, would Clinton now finish 3rd in the district (since they'd have one less district win compared to AC and OR)?

This pretty much lays it out:

If Clinton wins they are a 1st place qualifier; otherwise they are a 2nd place qualifier, unless Oak Ridge wins in which case they are an automatic qualifier

Second or third, it doesn't matter since Oak Ridge is a 6A school. They would still be the second 5A qualifier from district 3.

I didn't think it really mattered, just for playoff seeding.

I have got some bad news for AC fans. It is actually not going to rain on Thursday! Almost 75% of games this year have been played in awful conditions and Clinton has still put up great numbers. Good luck stopping us now! I am not saying, I am just saying! :roflol:

Hello thats what we AC fans coaches players want. :roflol:

I've heard the same and another may be gimpy as well. Were not talking no name players either. I couldn't believe it when I heard it. I just didn't know it to be fact. I won't divulge because I'm not in either camp and hate to speculate. All will be revealed Thursday night.

The scuttlebutt is that Hazelhurst will be out this week with either a stretched or slightly torn MCL. Without an MRI it's impossible to determine which is the case. However, the stretched version works itself out in a week or so but the tear obviously causes more problems. Because Clinton is already in the playoffs with a high seed, it only makes sense to keep him out. Although my source is a little less reliable on this one, I too heard that Stone was a little gimpy but I understand he's a definite starter for Thursday.
