According to the article he may not play Friday night. I really want to check out Ensworth before the season is over at full strength. I went and watched MUS this past week and want to compare the two by seasons end. If anyone knows if Darkwa will be ready by Friday night, please post it on here!

How did MUS look?

And pretty sure you are going to be disappointed because I am 95% sure Darkwa will not play against BGA. Even though he could play injured it's, Ensworth won't need him to beat BGA considering they have a good back up running back and a returned passing game.

Darkwa accounts for 68% of the total offense so it would be interesting to see how well EHS performs without him. I hope the Ensworth team is as overconfident as "wrangler".

What did MUS look like? Are they State Champion material?

Look at the stats sharpshooter.

Ensworth beat Baylor 29-15 (Baylor scored a last minute touchdown against JV)

Baylor beat BGA 34-14

In the EHS vs Baylor game Darkwa accounted for only 45% of total yards. So it looks to me like EHS has a high probability of winning this game. Granted it is not likely to be a large margin but I still anticipate a win.

Who cares about scores: It's high school football. What spectator truly knows the quality of the backups one team is putting in comparison to what the opposing team is putting in - unless of course they played a JV game? Ensworth and Baylor did not. Baylor played hard, but they lost.

Bottom line since I don't know the status of Orleans:

Ensworth beats BGA mightily with Orleans

Ensworth simply defeats BGA without Orleans

Speaking on another issue about someone asking about MUS . . . well, my middle TN friends, those boys in Memphis can play football. They are the real deal, as some of our middle TN friends found out in the state championship game last year. I do know this, and that is they know how to play football in Mississippi, and MUS took it to two of their state's top ranked teams in Olive Branch and South Panola. Additionally, MUS showed it could beat somebody without their top star when Brunetti got injured early in a game and his owls still pulled out the victory. Maybe Ensworth and MUS are on a collision course - but Ensworth still has a lot to do to get there (while I suspect that MUS is already there). I don't know a soul at MUS, but they are the team to beat in Tennessee. I hope Ensworth and MUS meet . . . I hope we have two undefeated teams meeting in Cookeville. That would absolutely be an exciting atmosphere. I hope Cookeville is ready if that happens. But like I said, Ensworth has a lot to do still to get there. MUS will be there.

    • there will be a couple of teams, that could make some noise
    • Dyersburg may win back to back to back championships. They are going to be hands down the best 3A team. Plus their District/region/sectionals are not very good. They basically just have to make it to region out of a 5 team district that has a few decent teams. South Gibson will be okay but they graduate their best player and there is nobody in the region 7 or region 8 who is going to compete with them.
    • I remember very well watching things change in the late 80's and yes it's all schools. Most people that are in charge today have any idea because they were raised and taught under this social experiment so they don't have a clue. Anyone that does see the truth for what it is usually try and hide it by blending in so that the School Gestapo doesn't round them up and take them to the Fuhrer ( kindly putting it ). Yes it is all schools not just Maryville. This train ride is not headed in a good direction and if the public had seen a movie of what's happening now back in 1980 everyone would have been headed home afterwards to change underware.
    • Hoping to make the playoffs.
    • You are so correct!  It’s really 99.9% of academia want to change to way that education is not only taught but the way it is viewed.  The pendulum has definitely swung as far to the left as possible and eventually will swing to the right much too far.  I have always  said that politics and one’s personal religious views need to stay out of education,  but for the last 40 years education has been running full throttle to what we have today.  If the social experiment that we are currently experiencing continues it is only a matter of time before the public school system in the USA completely collapses and all kids attend private schools or even worse don’t go to school.
