How important is it to have quality coaches in the booth? Huntington was dominated by UC in the first half and dominated UC in the second half. Both teams are going to throw in a few new wrinkles. Whoever makes the best halftime adjustments will win. How does UC adjust with no coaches upstairs. They might be the only team I have ever seen without coaches upstairs. Do they normally have a coach up there and just knew they didn't need one against South Fulton? Just wondering.

As fa as I know Our coaches like to coach from the sidelines. They make quick decisions right there on the field and adjust being close to the action. I can also say that no one took SF lightly. We beat that team 42-0 just 2 weeks earlier. We expected them to come out firing on all cylinders. THEY DID. tHEY EVEN THROUGH IN A COUPLE OF WRINKLES. However we adjusted and shut them down pretty good. Our way of playing is old school. From coaching on the sidelines to smash mouth, cram it down your throat. man's game football. Huntingdon has a simular attack. But man they have speed. AS far as adjustments i can assure you of one thing... our caoching staff has been over the game films and so has the team. They have tried to imagine anything The Stangs could possibly do from thier offensive sets and have done all to prepare for those posibillties. However Holder can do so many things on his own that you can only hope for some good luck to contain some of them. I hope we have that hand of luck dealt to us 2nite. After the first couple of series and both teams settle in from emotion we will see how effective all the prep has been. GO TORNADOES

I will be the first to say that myself personally have made no excuses about the first game. Its simple UC owned the 1st half and the Stangs owned the 2nd. They adjusted . We didnt. But Im sure both teams are prepared for a classic battle that will last 4 qtrs. Mistakes penalteis and turnovers the team with the least of these three hazards will win. Both teams are confident in thier philosiphies and believe they can and will win. I also think if either team can complete 2 or 3 passes that team will have the advantage. Its been said the UC cant throw. Well Ive got news for ya. We havent shown everything the last few games so dont be suprised to see some twists in the passing game. I am looking forward to the suprises both teams are planning for the next few weeks of play. Its hard to beat a good team twice in the same season. So im glad we lost the 1st one. Last year we beat the Rebs in a controversial 1st meeting and lost in a heartbreaker in the playoff game. Lets hope that fate falls on us this year. Go Tornadoes

I don't know about you BigSwo but I would have much rather continued our rivalry with McKenzie instead of playing Huntingdon in the regular season....I hate these rematches pitting two real good teams this late in the playoffs...You had to know this game was going to happen when you looked at the schedules back in the summer...

I dont know P&G but the Rebs Beat the Stangs this year very convincingly. Held Holder to only 70 yrds.I loved watching those games between us and The MACTOWN REBS but..... Man I just dont know. They are both great teams. I would like to beat the Rebs in a playoff game though. But I guess H-Town will have to take thier place. So there you go Reb fans those stangs will be a stand in for yall 2nite. Im sur they can live up to your nail bitting style of play. I love those heart attack games.

There Was 2 Teams That Made My Tail Tighten Up In 1A Union City And Lake County. :roflolk: And Them Games With Ya Had A Pucker Factor Of 10 I'm Telling Ya. And Start The Breeding Process And Get Up Here In 2A. Good Luck Swo And P&G. :roflolk:

Im sure it wont be long before we move up and give some relief to Volfan. Im not sure it will help though. But dude i've got 4 boys to add to the mix. I will be at the stadium for years to come. You are right about the Pucker FActor though. I needed some Hemroid cream and a colon cleansing after those games. I personally know what Duck has experienced first hand on the cleansing that is. All we can hope for is some scrimmages and jamborees for now.

    • I have no affiliation with Maryville anymore outside of being a 2nd generation graduate from a large family of Rebel alumni. That relationship ended courtesy of the lame duck AD (a Bearden grad I might add) and the HBIC. That said, I could care less if a private school comes through and offers every promising athlete out of that school or any other school better opportunities.
    • A perfect example is for athletes at Clinton High School. I will completely understand, and hopefully everyone should understand why they want to, and as of right now, it looks like that’s going to happen in numbers over the summer.
    • I mean, that’s easy to say when it hasn’t happened to your school that often, if at all, but yeah, I think everybody should be for the student athlete or player. Whatever they think will help them or their athletic career, I feel like they should be able to do that, even if that means transferring schools. Now I don’t really get that when you have almost every offer you could want and then jump ship, but what can I say? I guess money talks.
    • I for one am all for it.
    • Covid killed the city because they chose not to play football in the 2020 season. Therefore, kids weren't able to practice and develop, and continuing to lift weights. Memphis basically had 7/8 graders, skipping a year, then playing 9/10 high school football. Now, there's only one team that has made a "dent" which will be Southwind (made it to the 5A semifinals last year).  If you want to go more suburbs, then it'll be Houston, which won the 6A state title, defeating Oakland Other than that, I agree.
