PURPLE76
Well VC it's been 2yrs since Dunn has retired. Also ask why the S'town boys(coach) team refused to play LCHS in the Richland games last week. Years pass and most understand that the big picture is that these county rival games provide upsets sometimes but always bring big gates and concessions. Thats the bottom line that all 3 schools are missing out on not to mention some dang good BBall. Oh well, there are too many dipsticks involved to ever work it out. So lets move on and see which teams move into post season play this year, boys & girls teams from all 3 schools. I know the LCHS teams should. Vandychris
Don't get me wrong, I do cheer for all three teams and SHS has been playing Loretto for several years now. Not only that, but Loretto has joined 12A in basketball, so it is a district game now which will add to the rivalry there. LCHS boys and girls are playing great this year and are looking very impressive--I hope they carry the banner proudly. There are many reasons for the decision not to play them at the classic this year---most notably that SHS has already played several AAA schools and gotten beat up physically--why would they want to add to that this year without benefitting either school? golfcat
Are AAA schools physically bigger or just the size of the school? little confused by your post....
CoachT
Regardless of the reasons of the past, these three schools need to play each other every year and I believe they will again soon..

After looking at Loretto's record this season, I'm sure they are proud. Looks like number 4 on your SHOCK LIST should be fans wearing black actually pulling for teams with winning records. hotpotato44
here are the facts. LCHS wanted to play Loretto and Loretto did not. This game has been played for many years. It is rediculus to do away with this rivalry game. It was fun for teams, students, and fans. Everyone gets there tail kicked every now and then. Get over it. There are many reasons why this game should be played. LCHS players and fans are very disappointed. And how can the focus be on Lawrence County recruiting. The Gilbert sisters were not going to Giles County reguardless which in my opinion is a very wise decision. How would they go from Giles County to Shelbyville? We all know how that happened. It would make much more sense to go to Lawrence County. Maybe it just took em some time to figure that out. I think its funny how Shelbyville finally didn't get what they wanted. It's time for them to get a dose of their own medicine. Lawrence County is a great program and is very fortunate to have both of them. And don't you think if Lawrence County recruited them they would have gone there to begin with? Its clear to me what happened.

CoachT
When it is time to re-schedule for next year I will find out and let everyone know who, if anyone, chooses not to play and, hopefully, why.
Hawse40
Word on the street is that Dr.Heath(Lawrence Co. Supt.) has directed teams to play 2010-2011 season. That should settle it.
