Watched passing league yesterday against Humingdon; Humingdon looked very improved in their passing game. McKenzie surprised me with their young talent. Both Quarterbacks for McKenzie had high and low points not sure which way the competition is going. The Rebel secondary looked good and had very nice closing speed. Both teams scored twice Rebels had 7 picks Ponies had 2 picks and gave up 2 sacks. McKenzie won the match but it was not one sided at all.

Yeah, ain't that a hoot!!! Or maybe they have decided to move from 1966 up to 2010 and see if things get better for them????? It's bound to be a misfit for them though! It has been in recent past seasons at least.

When one thinks of the 'Stangs, passing is WAY down the list of things they think of!! I can tell you who their '65 (maybe it was '64?) "Best Blocker" was before I can tell you when they were last a passing team!

I don't think the Rebel faithful will be dissapointed. The Rebels are well coached and will win their share of games no need to worry! Just be glad when the lights finally come on friday nights! But the Rebels will be tested on the road at Trenton and Humboldt! :thumb:

Arent the Rebels on the road to Westview this year?

Yes, And Camden At Home Opener.

Who do you think Comer will start at QB? I know it's just speculation and nobody knows. I am just interested in your opinion. I have followed the comments throughout the passing league season and there have not been strong comments one way or the other. Of course, they could each have their own strengths and will develope as the season goes on, but as the starter...who do you see taking the field?

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
