I like those comments but which noseguard are you talking about. We have two that rotate in and out every every other series on D. Both are very good and quick off the ball. Our QB is a very talented athlete and like you said he will only get better. In fact this years Rebels are improving every week and no one has seen the full potential of this years team. Only brighter things are in store for those we play. Looks like Dresden is in store for another great season as well. Friday should be a very interesting game. Looking forward to ya'lls visit this week.

Haha yeah that's probably right but it warms up to ya after a few years

Must be kinda like those folks in Wycliffe, KY living right by the Westvaco pulp mill. Man that's the most horrible smell I've ever run across!!! Pretty much stopped me from going to St. Louis to ballgames. But the folks that live there swear they don't notice it................OMG I don't see how they couldn't!!!!!!! It's worse than a hog farm even if that is imaginable!!!!!

In putting away last Friday's game with Westview I must say the Rebels came to play and were vastly improved in the areas that needed improvement. Had it not been for a flat offensive performance in the 3d quarter and early 4th quarter and of course the hosing the zebra's gave us in the late 4th quarter it would have been a sound defeat handed to a good Westview team. But a W is a W and I'll take it.

I expect the Rebels to come out strong against Dresden this week. Not predicting but, the Rebels should get serious and take care of business now!!! I know Dresden is improved and that's good. Playing good competition will make everyone better eventually.

I'm proud that the Rebel football program has prospered the last 10-15 years. The work ethic started by coach Koen and carried on and improved on by coach Comer and staff has done wonders and serves as a roll model for any team wanting to get better. The Rebels may not be the biggest team to run on the field BUT conditioning, strength, speed and technique along with execution is everything to be a contender. We're getting there.

AND I'm not one to single out players for their play without mentioning everyone so, as stated by another poster, Max Arnold may well be the best pure athlete in the district or even area, that I agree with. BUT, he is able to do what he does because of the other 10 Rebels on the field with him on any given play. One thing is for sure, the Rebels know there is no I in Team and they play like it, and live like it!!

GO REBELS!!!!!!

Yeah man, I'm pretty sure you'd like Butchie. And keep in mind that naturally we've had recent success against the 'Stangs but, it's still understandable to all the feelings running thru Htown over the football downswing there. Nobody over here hates you. It's just football......we all want to win. We've done more of that lately but, just remember all those years we only won a game every 10 years or so. That's the stuff rivalries are made of. See ya' Halloween!!!!

AND we'll make it easy for you to meet us when we play too!!! We're pretty peaceful sorts too so no worries there.

    • Wow I haven't been keeping up with softball had no idea.Been keeping up with baseball and we are slowly fading there.I will check it out!!Thx
    • It is what it is. Sorry DFL.
    • One of the biggest loosing teams in Mid-State are the Macon County Tigerettes. I have noticed that the roster is smaller than in the years past. All the senior's have quit. We have a great group of Jr High players coming up. I sure hope they don't loose them, like they have lost so many others this year. With this young group of girls coming up, a weaker district, they should have no problem going to State.
    • It was updated this season, because I did it.  Linder is the school's all-time leading rusher at 5,156 yards with 2,436 of those coming in 2014.
    • Oh, I’m sure you did. Maybe you heard just a rumor, but considering we have a football practice field and a soccer field that’s frequently used for lacrosse games and practices, I highly doubt it. Let me change that. I know for a fact that didn’t happen.   Glad you finally stopped attacking a bunch of high school students, but still obsessed with the coaching staff for some unknown reason, even though you could name more than three (at most) coaches without looking it up. But now come up with something else.
