Guest
Holy smoke did we get thumped 14-4 in 6 innings. Tullahoma scored 9 in the third inning on 3 walks, 3 errors and a gazillion hits. I think we ended up committing 6 errors and had 8 walks and Tullahoma made us pay for everyone of them bigtime. I think that even if our defense hadn't committed an error or we didn't walk anyone it would have made much difference tonight as Honea had our number. I don't think we got a ball out of the infield until the fiftth inning. We ended up with four hits total. Congrats to Jacob for throwing a outstanding game, and Tullahoma hit the ball hard tonight even on their outs. We looked flat and Tullahoma look like they had something to prove. Good luck next week against Columbia.
binns37388
Tullahoma achieved another goal that Coach White had for this years team. The Cats get a bye in the district tournement. It was definitely a big win for Tullahoma and a tough loss for the Rebels. Its a brand new season when the tournament starts. Sometimes when things go wrong, it snowballs and that's the way it went for the Rebels. The loss last nite was a wake-up call for the Cats and they were ready. Congrats to Tullahoma and good luck to the Rebels the rest of the way.

I'd say he he hit out of the infield... outfield... and over the field house. Someone said they think they saw it in Lowe's parking lot. But it was foul and a very long strike two, he did hit a double on the next pitch though. We had two nice base hits up the middle prior to that as well. However, we are are team that cannot give up the big inning like we did in the third and expect good things to happen. You could almost tell that Tullahoma started to relax at the plate when that inning got out of control, and there after.

If Columbia were to sweep Tullahoma and Franklin wins both of their games then they would both be 7-3. Columbia is the only team that clinched a bye to this point I think. redbird9
Tie Breaker is the run difference between the teams tied right? Tullahoma would be +7 in that category.
columbiaguy
I think the tie-breaker is runs allowed in all district games but I could be wrong. Tullahoma is comfortably ahead there too and it is unlikely they would not get a bye, I just didn't think it was a done deal yet.

At least, this is what coach White told me last night before the game, and I'm pretty sure he is on top of the situation. Columbia and Tullahoma have the byes. Next week's games are just for seeding then. It is going to be a good series with Columbia having won 10 of 12 and the bats starting to flex their muscle. Guest
Does anyone know the Lawrence Co - Shelbyville score? If Shelbyville won then I think Franklin Co is locked in as the third seed, if not then we need to split with Lawrence Co.
