Thanks purple 76 i havent got to see a lot of games this year but what is up with luffman.she isnt puttin up many points this year.

Not sure thats right but if it is, saw box's of two freshman that are giving LCHS some really good minutes and Jorydon is getting some must needed help. Freshman and Sophmores are again doing that this year.

They started 3 juniors last night that contributed tremendously to the game. Sometimes we look at box scores and see who the leading scorers are and just want to talk about them but if you look at the whole game these juniors are helping get the ball to these scorers and playing great defense. I know one of the guards last night had at least 8 assist when she could have shot herself. If you truly know the game then you can see more than just the box score. Gilbert is not playing like a freshmen but she is an exceptional ballplayer that has a D1 future in front of her. Luffman is just a super player who is able to do so many things. These girls have an opportunity staring them in the face they just have to realize it and reach out and take it!! Good luck rest of the year!

LCHS has at least 8 players who can and have started games this year w/o any decrease in intensity on either side of the ball. This is certainly a luxury that a majority of teams do not have. The defense was the key to handling any attack that Smyrna tried to muster on Wednesday night. Smyrna is a very sound team and I hope to see them upset some of the other 5 power house teams in 7aaa.(the single storngest district in TN) The LCHS Lady Cats need to play a lot more games like that one when district play starts back and then carry it over into the post season to have any hopes of an extended year of playing. The final eight teams in the state tourney this year will be as about as strong any final eight in years.(just my opinion) There will be some really good teams left out to only watch.

    • Jason Lambert should be the only choice for the Baseball coaching position.
    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
