Let's get this started. Who are the front runners? Top players? Overton and Hillwood are out.

 

Last year Independence represented the district in state. They did not perform up til their potential and will be looking to make a return trip to the Boro. They return a strong pitching staff and lineup lead by Josh Lee, Vandy signee.

 

Also their are a couple of new coaches at the helm. At Brentwood, Coach Vaughn begins his 1st full season. He has the district top pitcher in Ray and top catcher in Shelton. At Franklin, it seems they are on their 3rd coach in 4 years. Coach Glover takes over that program, I do not know much about him, but Franklin always puts a good product on the field.

INDY is my favorite to take it.

MVP= Tony Kemp, he's the best player on the worst team, Mookie Wilson did not deserve the award last year, everything CHS got was because of #7.

Pitcher of the year= Robbie Ray, he will dominate as he should

All those who think Shelton is the MVP need to take a look at the little league field he plays on.

Right handed pitcher of the year= Tyson Ashcraft, kids a beast now, he's a dark horse but I like his stuff.

They have alot of position guys back from last year, but I am pretty sure they lost their entire pitching staff. Little told my buddy he is not pitching this year due to arm problem. I look for them to be middle of the pack with no ace and the district going to a 3 game series this year.

catcher-Pat Raley-senior, best def catcher in the district, caught for the outlaws last summer

1st base/pitcher-Kevin Bein, 6'4" senior, pitched and played 1st for outlaws last summer, finally reaching his potential

2nd base/pitcher-Joey Falletta, senior, good athelete

outfield-consist of senior Kyle Grider, left handed lead off hitter, was second in stolen bases last year

junior Austin Crow, played alot last year as a soph, solid player

Franklin is the best defensive team in the district and will be the best hitting team. Pitching will be the big question, but with new and improved coaching staff under coach Glover and new pitching coach John Ridling(pitched in majors for 5 years) I think their pitching will be a lot better than people think
