Best WR in east TN

AE has a receiver named Reggie Jones who is pretty tough. UT has recruited him, but nothing serious. It is hard to make a case for him to be the best in East TN because he has only played one half this season due to a shoulder injury. He should be ready to roll this Friday and he should start making waves soon.

Rusty Loza is the best rec. in East TN that nobody has heard of. Last year he had 43 catches for 1029 yds, 13 TDs, and 1755 all purpose yds. He plays at Powell Valley who is going to dominate Claiborne County this thursday.

flip,

Don't fan the fire in Claiborne County's belly. I've seen them twice and their pass defense is suspect, but I expect you can throw that out with this being the "Last Stand" for both schools.

Based on the stats released by the Knoxville News Sentinel (not including the upper east teams) Jacob Brown has got to be the best reciever out there. Can anyone compare with his 27 catches for 487 yards through 4 games? I think he has 6 or 7 touchdowns also.

There is no way that brown is better than bowman. I have seen both play and bowman is heads above brown. The only thing that Brown has going for him is that he plays on a well rounded team while Bowman plays with nobody.

I would say you are mostly right. This is going to be a huge "pride" game for the entire county. Unless Claiborne can cover better, I expect some big plays from Loza and Medley. Medley has had 4 TD's in the last two games. The key to the game is like any game, who will win in the "trenches"!

What about them Greeneville boys. They got three that will do anything you ask them. Watson(Ap player of the week), Wilcox, he's there whenever you need him, and that athlete Greenway(Junior with the talent)Those boys catch almost everything that Baugh, who should have been player of the week(6 TD's, almost 400 yards.)would throw to them standing, and yes standing in his pocket all nite

Do you have any edidence to base your opinion on? I've played against both and we had to put 3 guys on Bowman and simply single covered Brown.....Bowman is faster, he can just twice as a high, hes taller and hes bigger physically.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
