Jackson Co vs Coalfield

Just curious........why did Coalfield's two best players (Jordan and Jones) take the fewest shots? Did Jackson Co. concentrate their defensive effort on those two. Sounds like Landrum had a lot of looks, but the basket got lost in the vastness of the Glass House! Excellent game plan by Brown.....it appears he used his teams resources to stop Jordan and Jones.

I would suspect AJ got frustrated around the second quarter and that is all she wrote! She might never reach this stage again......gotta show when the lights go on! Good player, but without more maturity it will be hard for her to reach Division I. That s going to be pretty much up to her. How many girls from this District have ever reached Division I anyways? (B. Laxton, K. Boyatt, K. Christopher, Hall)

Nice ride Jackets.....keep your head up!

p.s. I really was pulling for you all to shake up the Glass House......!

Actually, Jim Brown didn't really concentrate too much on Jordan. Jordan was lackluster all day long. I had seen her play quite a bit and had been really impressed with her potential. She just never showed up. There was no hustle, no spark whatsoever. All of the other players really played hard, and that made her lack even more obvious. If someone were going to beat Jackson Co., yesterday may have been the best shot. They really were off their game. If Jordan had shown up, they could have had a chance. The Jones kid was all heart, played half the game with her head bleeding so severely that they had to change the bandages during the game. Could have really been time for some of Coalfield's players to shine. However, took a massive effort for them to get there, period, going from 3rd in the district to the state tourney is impressive.
