I have to say that Middleton Lady tigers will show nuff need to bring better defense and offense to their game against Jackson Co. These girls are a catch and shoot time and are in your face on defense. Inspite of that I think this game should be a good game to watch and hear. I missed Wednesday, but I will be there in the BORO on Friday game. This is some of Middleton players first time playing at a big game and I think nerves is what have hurted them in the passed especially in 2008 state playoff when they lost to Bradford, because I think they had a more talented team that year with Jasmine Perry, Valnessa Miller, Angelia Geanes. I want to say how impressed I am in the way Howser have become a dominant player in the middle. I also want to thank Sierra Morgan for your steal and your last second shot to push us through to Friday game. Go Lady Tigers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sure Coach Brown will have a great game plan in place to match Middleton's athleticsm. If they can execute and limit turnovers and second chance points by Middleton they should win but Middleton is extremely quick and has strong inside play with Hoswer. Should be one the best semifinal games of the day.

turnovers were a problem in the first game for north greene and middleton and middleton was pressing and leaving players wide open under the basket, so thats a opprotunity for the other team to shoot layups if they break the press or can throw over the top. I thought north greene shot some ill advised shots with a 9 point lead in the 4th quarter and middleton took advantage and did what they had to do to win.

A much better state tournament would have had Pickett Co. which led JC by 8 in the 3rd quarter in the region tournament and lost by 5, defending state champion Clarkrange, Clay Co., Arts & Sciences (lost to Pickett by 4 and Clay Co. by 14 or 15), Forrest, I haven't seen Moore Co. but maybe them, and I'm not sure who else. It is a shame the best district in the state can only send 2 teams to the substate and it is proven year after year. If A& S wins today, I think they can give Jackson Co. a tough game though. They have had an excellent team the past 2 years.

    • We could sure use some math teachers country wide. Ever go into a store or restaurant and the bill comes to $9.97 and you give them a ten dollar bill and 2 pennies because you wanted a nickle back and then the meltdown starts and the next thing two more people have to come and help figure it out and the place comes to a complete halt. I see this everyday and it's a sad representation of all these schools allowing these kids out the door to get shortchanged the rest of their life.
    • I like the Pirates chances. I’ll be there as soon as work allows.
    • Stars, I heard we were searching far and wide for some math teachers. Any chance their kids bench press or 40 times are getting checked? LOL I’ve heard good things from 825.
    • I think it was expected. “Bad” luck I guess to get a couple difference maker QBs in the same class. I thought the decision was made a little early myself, but they were struggling offensively last year.  I assume the running quarterback alco had last year would be a senior this fall, and the transfer would start the following two years in addition to getting a ton of playing time this year. Maybe he waits two yrs, but I doubt it. The kid is good. So is the one who stayed.
    • I'm from Cloudland and we've never played a sectional game.  We need to win tomorrow night to avoid that bus ride.  Us and north greene can play with you guys so I'm expecting good games whoever the matchup is.
