Game went as expected. Could've been worse if Nate and Adonis could've played. Now let the talk of transfers, cheating, overrated team begin now. I'm ready.

Yeah, it's a shame about the refs...

Oh well....

Tomorrow, Melrose gets to take on the best team in the State -- #1 ranked Bearden!!.

I'm crossing my fingers, hoping that Melrose can (somehow) pull off the big "upset."

Melrose had 1 player with double digits! (When I left)Where'd all the D1 prospects go! Lol! Siegel played HORRIBLE! I agree, but Melrose didn't show me anything either! Granted its the only time I've seen them play but if they play like that against White Station they'll get killed!

not knocking melrose but I dont think they even played all that hard. it was too easy. a lot of people in rutherford county get mad at me when I see the boys basketball up here is not as good they think. when you get beat by almost 30 and the winning team only has 1 player in double figures something is not right...

Gopackers is right! Someone posted earlier that Melrose was a real team. Really? I had a hard time finding the D1 prospects for Melrose. The only one saw was No. 3(a one man team) and he scored half the points. As for the complaints of too many ticky tacky fouls on your Melrose boys, WRONG! Those fouls went both ways the whole game. If Siegel would have showed up the first quarter, who knows what would have happened. Melrose will have no problem with Bearden. Saw them play earlier, not impressed. Too bad Siegel didn't draw Bearden or Beech. I guess thats how the ball bounces! Good Luck to the teams left!

Melrose had Adonis and Nate on the bench the entire game. U did see what Nate did to those Softs big when he was in the game. And make no mistake it was not they did not show up. It was nothing they could do. Guards was throwing the ball away as soon as a defender came their way. That was the reason for the 19 - 1 lead. Please!! Jodyjoe u called it correct. People cant come on here and say congrats but try to find some other reason to put the team down. U know what at this point it dont even need another reply. Lets get ready for Bearden.

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
