What is the status of the sprained ankle that QB Allen substained in the scrimmage against Loudon?

I heard from a source today that it's a 50/50 chance of allen playing this friday, but polks back-up should do a decent job. I still think polk will come away with a victory in a much tougher game.

I just quinched your thirst ;)

red fans dont get too pumped about beating bradley. year in and year out they are cellar dwellers in their district. with that said im going to go polk by 4.

Bears 16

Wildcats 20

First I want to say I am a Charger follower. I also think that Polk could go 10-0 with this first win. I agree they did show good speed last year, and are very well coached. I also think that they will probably face the same fate as last year with the region being that strong. I wish them luck this year and hope they represent 5-AA well against Bradley. Hope it is a injury free night for you.

Haven't got on here in awhile and a ole friend was wondering why. I've just been sitting back and reading all the post and thinking and with what I have read, heard and seen here is my take. Bradley's o line and d line are suspect if thats the case polk's lines will dictate this game. Polk had problems holding on to the ball early in the preseason they fixed that problem. Then the speed issue keeps coming up how this year polk team is slower. Ok Al Akins will replace Bussey and he is a very underrated player people will see how good he is this year. Losing Chase at fullback didn't hurt that bad with Derrick Saxe taken that spot and he is a bull when he runs the ball. The Lee kid and Allen are fast enough. Polk's defense will set the tone early friday night with the hard Polk hitting and swarming the ball. Then the smash mouth offense will wear out bradley by halftime. Everyone is saying this team can't do what last years team did I say they very well can. Bradleys Qb seems to force passes and that will be very bad friday night if he does that because polk has Swafford on one side then Akins Island on the other then Allen roaming at safety. So everyone get the popcorn ready for tommorrow night and get ready for some smash mouth football and hard hitting and a very good game. Good luck to both teams on a injury free game. To the Polk players play with that heart and POLK PRIDE and remember G.A.T.A. GO POLK!!!

How much did you beat those "cellat dwellers" by last year? You won the game. But it wasnt by much.Yes Polk is a smaller div. but you have more kids on the side line than they do. Good luck to both teams

Well, I was just about to say the same thing until I read your post. The Bradley fans normally proclaim the Bears as Region Champs and state contenders every August.......but quickly have to readjust when they start losing. As long as being cellar-dwellars, I think Walker Valley will once again give them a run for that distinction. :roflol:

I been sitting here watching you post on Polk's site.. Let me fill you in on a few details 1st. You talk about Insanity....In the last 10 years Polk's Ole slow team has owned Meigs. You all have 1 win in 10 years against Polk..2nd They coach there Athletes to the strength of there players, and I might add it works. I promise you if they ever get kids with 4.4 speed they will coach them to there strenghts and do other things. Year in and year out Polk is near or at the top in the region you know so much about coaching you should go help Meigs win more than 5 or 6 games a year, and if Bradley County is always "cellar Dwellers" why dont Meigs play them.So when you post something make sure you know the facts before you run off at the mouth.Oh yea look back at all the teams Polk has played with DIV 1 players and WON the way you kill speed is stand them up and call roll.I hope you learned something from this post you can Go coach Meigs up....

    • Groves got the ball over 20+ times. His son arguably played the best for East in that game. 3rd and long multiple times and he came up big to continue a couple drives. Please shut up for the 3rd year in a row
    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
