Good luck to the new coach. I hope she is successful. Her key will be keeping good assistants in place. If I were her, I would make a call to Boyd West today and ask him for help. He would help the program greatly and make her transition much easier.

As I said earlier, if Big Tom is as good as you all say then I am sure that we will see him on the sidelines coaching very soon. It will be then that we will see if he is the recruiter that you all claim. I find it interensting that any school interested in him in the future should know that their local girls may as well transfer because the "World's Greatest Recruiter" has so many girls coming from all over the country that the local kids dont stand a chance.

as far as i know all of the current players have lived in bedford county since alteast their pre-middle school days. there are no transplants that i can think of. a sure sign of whether AC makes a good coach will be for her to be successful with the girls who have grown up here, versus her ability to draw in transplants from across the country, as some have suggested TI would have done.

Those kids would still move to Shelbyville if they wanted to play for Shelbyville Central High School....obviously you are saying they only want to play for TI, and that is the problem. Perhaps this will teach the Insell's they don't always get want THEY want...Congrats to AC

Without piling on, Shelbyville has been good for a long tiome ande have attracted good players because of coaching and competition. It would not surprise be that the tradition goes on and to find the above, great AAU competition and a team camp that needs some tweeking and just about everything needed for Girls Basketball in the country. Its more likely than can be done easily by anyone. Hope good asstants are loaded up to get the level to where it was. Excellence breeds excellence.

I'm sure none of the families moving (if they moved) ever were influenced to go there, it was just the coaching and competition.
