There will be a Jamboree in Dyersburg on Aug. 13th. Dyersburg, Dyer Co. & Milan will be some of the teams there. Last year also had Bolivar, Fayette Ware, Lake Co. and a couple others.

 

Huntingdon usually host a jamboree with McKenzie, Westview, Bruceton, West Carroll and other local schools participating.

Someone give me some scores from the Jamboree! In the Dyersburg Jamboree DC beat Milan 14-7. Humboldt shut out Dyersburg 9-0 which was kind of a surprise. LC beat Halls 21-7!

Gibson Co. should've won. We had like 7 or 8 holding penalties in the game which was quite a few for only 2 quarters of football. One of the holding penalties brought back a touchdown. Our defense pretty much held their own beside the one big play that McNairy had with our corner slipping on the grass and leaving him wide open. Gibson Co. is looking very good right now and is playing with alot of intensity, something that's been lacking over the past few years. I'm excited about this year and things are starting to look up for GC.
