Tullahoma vs Riverdale 8/10

Tullahoma is gonna be good..but how good is the question. The offence looked good in both games but at times looked like the team of old with the QB over throwing people. Running game needs to get better. The D will be better than people think with an experienced LB core and a good DB unit with a super saftey and realiable cornor...but will for them to beat blackmen they will have to come out and play perfect or it will be a long night. Look for them to lose a close one to blackmen but get things rolling after that and win their district and make a deep playoff run.

 

 

I hope that Tullahoma is better than last year. If not, it will be a long Friday Night on August 20th. Tullahoma took a real beat down from Blackman (Not Blackmen....duh) last year. Blackman has just as strong of a defense this year and the offense is much improved. While Blackman is not picked to with thier district this year, they will be stout. How nice it would be to play in a district where losing a close game would get a team anywhere close to a deep playoff run.

I believe that they will be better than last year they seem to be much improved and motivated, just hope they can play well against a strong Blackman team that looks good on both sides of the ball. Hopefully they can win district and prove the naysayers wrong and make a possible run to the championship much like the columbia lions did last year. Tullahoma it can happen. LETS DO IT!!!!!!!

Yes columbia went to state last year but the year before that they won 3 games so what does that tell you. Columbia are champs but they dont have near the talent they had last year. Tullahoma won 4 games last year none of them versus anyone worth anything but a win is still a win so who says Tullahoma cant be this years Columbia...but history isnt on their side. Columbia has always had the talent. But when you play in the same district as Brentwood, Franklin, Ravenwood, and Independence, all of whom have made it to the BC Bowl in the last 8-9 years, any non-power would struggle in a region/district like that. Columbia was one of those programs that benefitted in a big way when Tennessee High School Football was expanded to 6 classes. I would think after last year you guys would learn not to put too much stock into one game, a pre-season game at that. The goal is to get better each time out, if Tullahoma does that, then you guys will be fine.

Went to the scrimmage tonight and wasn't impressed at all with tullahoma performance, the offense didn't move the ball that well and the defense just wasn't ready how do tullahoma expect to when district if they play like that tonight

Yes Tullahoma got Man-handled on each side of the ball. Besides a pass to Shane Hagen (#7) and a muffed punt they didnt do anything but go backwards. Riverdale did what they always do long drives and had a solid "D" but Riverdale didnt look that great either. Tullahoma needs to fix alot of things if they expect to compete next friday..or its just gonna be another murder.

If it makes you feel any better, Blackman's not looking that good either. It will be a close game I believe with Tullahoma that will go down to the last few minutes.

Wasn't it just this week where you were saying Tullahoma had "all the right tools" and was going to win the district hands down? They surely didn't look that bad. Maybe you are saying in a round about way that District8AAA is just not that good. Don't get down just yet, it may not be that bad. The food was good last night anyway!
