Warren County vs Dekalb County

it was a win for WC but didn't look good at all. the spread offense was rendered usless by inability to pass and the defense had inexperience hurting them in a few key positions. There were some good plays made on defense by Thrower, Rhea, Northcutt and some of the other seniors. On offense, well what can i say?? I hope some adjustments are made on Monday or it's gonna be a long season.

We better find some linemen who want to block somebody, if we are to have any consistent passing game. I think the defense saved our butt against DeKalb Co.

i disagree 14pioneers, the line does what most HS lines do, hold for about 2-3secs at best. you have to be very mobile and roll out to find targets if your primary is covered.

It all starts with the line. I don't care if you are the real chris Johnson running the ball, if you don't have blockers he is not going to get vary far. The quick passes need at least 3-4 sec and the long pass plays need 5-6 sec to get the ball off. WC better get it together or its going to be a long season

After watching the Eagles last night against CC, you had best figure out a way to contain the speed. They get outside or in the open field, they are gone.

 

Morton, Hamler, Gordon. Allen and QB Stewart can flat out play.

Does anyone know how Poteete is doing at Centre? They probably started practice Sunday. Colonels have a jr at qb that is an excellent player. He has been inuured that past 2 years...hoping Hunter can earn the backup role at qb.

Yeah, we won. It wasn't pretty at all, neither was the scrimmage with Moore Co. Hats off to the Pioneer players for fighting hard. 10 yards of passing for a spread offense has to be a record! Call it like you see it! No disrespect to Dekalb, but they are one of the weakest teams on our schedule and we only won by 3 points. Only a few years ago we beat them 56-0 in a middle school game with almost the same players on both sides and our first string didn't play the second half.

I thought the new look pioneers where supposed to be the greatest thing since sliced bread??????? It will be a long year unless things change because this is not middle school!!!! A spread offense that goes 3 for 12 with 10 yds passing is not going to make it, Even though they rushed for over 200 yds, other teams will shut the run down and make us throw the ball.

Both teams will struggle greatly this year.

Dekalb was manhandled by a 1A team in a scrimmage and Warren didn't look good at all against a 2A team.

1. They shouldn't be scrimmaging them.

2. When they do scrimmage them, they should demolish them, and it didn't happen.

Quick passes should be off in 1.5-2 seconds, drop back passes in 3 seconds.
