etathlete
Congrats to South. That was a big surprise when I heard the score.I really thought Connell would be more of a factor for Boone. Then I heard that he didn't QB that much in the game.So much for changing game strategies. Mom Taylor thanks for adding me to your favorites list.I will eat my crow now!
batmast
I wonder if Batmast made it to the game? Thanks for asking. Yes, I was at the game with friends cheering on the South side. Glad they got an uninspired and mistake prone Boone, made some changes and won this one. I am sure after they handily take care of Gate City, the coaches will get a ticker tape parade down Henry Dr. and their praises will be shouted from the mountain tops. But, if you feel this alleviates the problems, especially the long term ones, typically you would be seriously mistaken.
compusatman
Actually I don't think we will handily take care of Gate City. And as for a parade, I don't think there will be one anytime soon but when there is one I'm sure you won't be there.
Booneman
Congrats to South. Boone has to get those kids better at spots and move on. Two weeks off to prepare against DB. I agree on congrats to South, they took advantage of Boone's mistakes and a good team will win even if they are the underdog. I have watched Boone in their scrimmages and games this year and they have not been consistant in their offense except for turnovers. I don't understand with the speed they have why they don't spread the offense with more pitch outs or screens. Coach Jenkins went away from their strength on offense of the option play, he should make a team stop their strengths before he goes to plan B. I think #20 and #5 have a lot of talent and speed that used more on outside will open up the middle and passing.
