MtP is back everybody! I will be pulling for some of my WC players. Rick I hope you these boys ready this week cause tigers are rough in the jungle! Mtp 28 WC 21

Well ill call it like i see it . I see MP double teaming A.Rice all night with 2 very good cornerbacks . Now the key is how many times number 19 and 69 lay the wood to T.Rice . Dont for one minute think these guys are a pushover . If WC can run the ball on MP i think they will win. But if its a close game at the end ,,, MP prolly takes it from the cats. The QB is shifty and hides the ball really well . WC will have their hands full Friday night. The team that dont put the ball on the ground wins this one .Turnovers will kill you ! Its at the Jungle so ,,, MP 21 WC 14 :popcorneater:

I've been hearing that MtP has a good QB but I just don't see that makin a big difference. I know that they are gonna be good and give us a game, but Chester Co. had big lineman and we handled them just fine. I think that MtP will give us a good close game but ppl need to remember T.Rice isn't just gonna lay down if he gets hit and as long as he is on the field it is gonna be hard to stop our offense. Go Cats. :thumb:

Keys to the game for either side. Wayne co must contain mtp qb and be able to have a good game on other side of the ball in the trenchs. Mount p has to get presure on Tyler but they can let him scramble and on O for them they will run same stuff when they had Marco and may pass a little bit more honestly idk who I pick I say 24 to 22 for whoever wins

mTp needs to stop the run and pressure TR all night. If they accomplish that then I see another "W" in the win column for mTp. Get pressure or get to TR he seems to loose control, in all sports. Shut him down & I think you shut WC down. Hogs on both side will determine the outcome of this game.

Game will be close in the 1st half but the 2nd will turn the tide.... Tigers by 10

I think it'll be a close game... But I'm pulling for MTP.. Ill say 30-21 mtp wins

Okay, I see we have PC, C'wood, MTP all picking against WC and even looks as if WC folks aren't sure either. Where's the pride of the WC folks? Stand up and support this team.

I thought T. Rice may have had his best game ever last week. He threw the ball on the money even while he ran around. He threw 2 passes to Austin (while double covered)on the money. Also, he hit other receivers for TDs. Austin did not score last week. Go ahead and double Austin because the others will beat you. Tyler was also the leading rusher last week so with a little pressure he can burn you on the ground. Tyler had one of the biggest hits last week on a LB that tried to tackle him & Tyler put him on his back.

    • Deja vu all over again, 7 yrs apart. SMDH Does anybody talk to each other?
    • OK, well, that’s because two quarterbacks can’t start. That’s football 101. The main quarterback won the starting job, so he was on varsity, and the Seymour transfer did not win the starting job. He played some varsity. He was mainly junior varsity, and he balled out when healthy, so for the starting quarterback who’s been starting varsity since his freshman year, if you have any form of proof that he’s gotten worse, somehow, whether that means stats or whatnot, please feel free to share.
    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
