eers
How can you be picking with your head and not your heart? Last week we were going to lose our next five games, according to you. We win and now we’re going to lose our next four out of five. Dude stop with the hating. Yea we White House fans love our team, but you’re on the other side of than equation. One question for you. Do you actually live in the fine city of White House? You made reference to not have seen the game but were going to watch it later. That can only be done if you live in White House or you have access to film. Either way you sure are putting a lot of effort into a team you hate on the way you do. Come on Eers let a little love into your heart. You can say it. BDP--Blue Devil Pride--BDP---Blue Devil Pride There didn't that feel good. Can you feel the LOVE? I can. Wow I may need a smoke after that. You're putting too much effort into all this trying to figure out where I am, who I am, etc. Regardless of whether I like them or not, I like to watch hs football, especially the Sumner County teams. This game was two SC teams, so in turn, I'll watch it. There really is no love for your "BDP"... by the way, I used to have another definition for "BDP", but we'll not go into that! You certainly do love your team and I respect that. As far as the four out of five, let me break it down for you... Beech = Loss Goodpasture = Loss Smith County = Loss (I suppose it could go either way, but I'm leaning toward SC) Macon County = Win Springfield = Loss That's just my thoughts... Could be wrong. BallFan44
There you go eers. I’m starting to feel the love from you. We have gone from a very bad down year to, a 6-4 and maybe 7-3 season. I don’t know if everyone agrees but that isn’t a very bad season. Maybe average. Let’s look a little deeper. (1) Loss to Beach. Defending Champs who return, I don’t know maybe 17 starters. Not a bad loss. (2) Loss to Goodpasture. That stinks, but a private school with a great offensive line. That loss still stinks! (3) Loss or maybe a win with Smith Co. Let’s wait to see. (4) Loss to Springfield. A second loss to a 5-A school. Ok I would love to win this one. But not the end of the world. I don’t know how much pull you with the Football Gods, But I think we could sell Coach Porter on a 7-3 season. I’m thinking that by the end of the year you may be in a Blue and white jersey, I don’t know maybe the #17 on it in the stands as a fan. That’s what I love about High School Football. New Fans on the Train. Whoooooo Whooooo. All aboard. The BDP Train just left the Chat Room!!!!

Cleggy
Why was that, keep hoping that they would work? Saving the ace freshman for the varsity game? What happened in the 2nd half? Come on now, last year in the scrimmage??? We all saw what happened in a REAL game. But, I will be gracious and say that you do have a fine looking football team and a nice facility. We win or you win, we know it will have been a fine game. There a little sugar with the trash. BDP! The recent Freshman game???? We ran the same 4 plays over and over, and our TB that ran all over Whouse last year as an 8th grader saw the ball two or three plays. Despite this, it was 6-0 at half. The players were ready to change the plays in the huddle, because they wanted to win so bad. I really hope you guys are putting your hopes on the Varsity game based on the Freshman game. GreenbrierCat2
One thing's for sure in this game...both teams walk away knowing who they just played. It's always a hard-hitting game, that more than likely will come down to a big play or two, or where the mistakes come in. It will be a full-house, and WH will bring their police escort like they think they're going to get mugged or something, and the Devils could easily overlook the Cats. Bobcats DO have the team to do it this year, they just need to get rid of the psychological block they have in this series. Good luck, Cats. Focus. btw, I'd personally like to see the surprise WH gets when they play Springfield this year.

Unfortunately, our Freshman games are viewed as more like scrimmages. The game vs Whouse was the only one where we even had the scoreboard on. There have been years when we did not even have Freshman games. Why did we only run 4 plays? - your guess is as good as mine. Why did our star tailback get the ball 4 times - again, who knows. I remember watching a JV game (when the current Seniors were Freshman)and we would struggle until the Freshman went in. We probably could have won a coulple of more JV games if the Freshman would have played more, but we didn't. The coaches were and are more concerned with development vs winning when it comes to Freshman and JV games. They know which game is for REAL, and the REAL game is this Friday night. Thanks for the sugar. Here's to a "sweet" and injury free game on Friday.

Cleggy
Kudos to you OGOR, well spoken. Of course the REAL game is this Friday and the freshman games are indeed actually just a dress rehearsal to prepare the young men for varsity action, however it is important to gain the most of those outings as they simulate what it will be like on FRIDAY nights. To do that, you must give them a real game experience. There is a record posted on most school webpages for the freshman teams so it important to try to win in addition to "developing" them. Winning a game where they can look on the scoreboard and see the outcome of their efforts builds great confidence. I believe any coach would want a confident player whether it be freshman, soph., junior, but especially seniors. Win or lose either team will hold their head high. BDP! I don't know of any varsity coach that lost their job based on their freshman schedule. It is simply a development. Nice to win, but has no bearing on the varsity program.
