So I guess after reading this "little Johnny" cannot be allowed in at Alcoa. He is 6'6" 320 lbs. Benches 450+ Squats small tractors and runs a 4.4 Voted best lineman in Texas his Freshman year. But, woe is me, he only has a 2.5 GPA and his TCAPS stink. Yeah right, keep on believin'. Not hatin'....just sayin'. My guess would be that some "tutoring" would be available if needed.

I]ve read a few post and decided to add my two cents and comment on the two things that come

up the most when Alcoa is the subject. First the out of Zone stuff........Let's for

goodness sake go back to three classes, let Alcoa play in 3A if they want.

With the new Z-Plan 3A-4A teams and 5A-6A teams are in the same Dist any way.

The Districts would be much more competetive and exciting with only three classifications.

As for the D1 vs D11 thing, I've seen Alcoa play and I've seen MUS and Ensworth, take

my word, and I'm not an Alcoa fan.....(Milan fan here)....Alcoa can play with any

team in the state of TN.........period!!!!!!!

Very young Milan team vs Goodpasture in the SEMI's???????

you want names? here you go. these are the satrters/key contributers who did not live in alcoa from the 2009 team.

Evans(OL/DL), Burchfield(OL/DL), Weatherly(OL), Tallent(QB/DB), Toney(RB/LB, did go to Alcoa elementary), Robinson(TE/DE),Kerr(DL), McGlothlin(DL)

so 8, out of 90 players, didnt live in Alcoa. take those guys away and Alcoa still wins state...

It's not the 8 out of 90, it's the 4 OLs, 5 DLs w/ a (DI TE/DE), QB(a very important postion) and RB which happens to be one of the best in the state.

Really it's probably more like 8 out of 18-20 starters since most of the ones you listed are listed both ways.

They may/probably still win State Championships, but we really won't know will we?

2.5 GPA is good. What color Lexus would he like? BWM's are available as well. His choice. <_<
