The reason Simpson's eligibility wasnt pressed any further is because he is 18 and does not have to live with his legal guardian to play(as far as I know). This is an investigation by the principle and the school administration to make sure everyone is eligible before anymore district games are played. I don't think they are trying to rush him back before the Cookeville game.

I think if he is still enrolled in school he has to have a legal guardian. And I am one that really don't care.

Well I am glad you do. They need to get this resolved for the team sake. It is not that hard to figure out unless TSSAA has got involved.

Agreed. Administration is afraid to make a ruling looks like.

i would go out on a limb and say there hasn't been a ruling yet, becuase fbmastermind45 mind does not have any hard proof that him or his son live "over by lee university". simpson proved his residence last week therefore he was elgible to play. If it's that easy then obviously slaughter would have asked fbmastermind45 (who i think i jamarcu's dad)to bring in concrete evidence of his residence. It's been a week and a half and still nothing. It seems like a simple fix if everyone is in the right, but everyone knows they aren't. I figure he'll be declared inelgible for the rest of the year, but hope slaughter dresses him out in week 10, they could call it a "scrimmage"

If someone who knows what they're talking about could say a thing or two it would probably clear up the need for this topic. It sounds like a yes or no issue-is he playing improperly, or not.

It doesnt matter where anyone says he lives, it matters where they think he lives. And we wont know what they decide until he steps on the field to play........or not to play.

tonight's cleveland banner states in the cookeville/cleveland preview story that he will not play at cookeville game due to ongoing investigation

 

doesn't sound good...tssaa wouldn't drag this out and take away a kid's games if there was a possibility of this being an 'oversight'
