This should be fun. However I would like to learn more about Oakland. I know they are very very good, but they are not Smyrna.

For those in the know and have seen Oakland play this year, please shout out the facts. (LOD this will exclude you for the simple reasons of wanting facts and some who has actually been to an Oakland game this decade.)

What type of Offense, both lines.........strengths and weakness..Special teams. A general over view. I have not been able to go to any Oakland games this year (burro at Blackman) and the only things I think know, I have read on Coach-T. (We all know that this site is more on the blow and less on the know.)

i'll take a shot...

they are big (not as the last two years...but still big)...faster than last year...mean...tough...will fight you to the end...will try to run over you and now can pass the ball very good...they fly to the ball on defense...have a swagger...are well coached...have several play makers...mitchell...Tee...adams...pretty good linebacker...several good wideouts...very good D line...good db's...are they weak anywhere...if they are i don't know of any! are they beatable...Yes, everyteam is but you must bring your "A" game and you can't turn the ball over 4 times and we must be able to pass the ball "some...just some" and we have not been able to do that against good competition...

Offensively, Oakland uses a variety of formations. Obviously the I set is still a big part of what we do, but we have a pretty good 4 wideout shotgun set that has really showcased the talent we have at the receiver position. Buddy Mitchell gets alot of the press, but Kevin Veals and Dustin Henry have both been a big boon to the Patriots passing attack. We've been using TE Xavier Norman more in recent weeks as well, he's hard to stop when he gets the ball out into the open. Christian Adams has been such a big key in what we are able to do offensively, and when a play goes south, does a good job of throwing it away or taking the sack (normally). Obviously Tee Mayberry is central to everything we do, but if teams insist on stacking the line and forcing to throw, obviously Oakland can do it and do it pretty well.

Defensively, faster than last year, which serves us well against teams that feature the spread. Front 7 has been very good for us most of the year, but the secondary is Oakland's best positional unit IMO. Look for Andre Chesterfield (Jr.), he will be the next great Oakland corner once Buddy graduates. Depth at the D-Line position is a concern, but have been able to handle it thanks to the younger kids stepping up. Mr. Mathers and Mr. Strickland will get to know Darius McAdoo quite well, as he leads the Patriots with 8 sacks on the season.

Special Teams I feel is the reason why Oakland has been so good though, I would put our Special Teams unit up against anyone. Dustin Henry has been a great replacement for Trevor Hornsby, with 12 touchbacks on the season, and averaging 36.8 yards on his punts. Buddy Mitchell has been everything you could imagine for a punt and kickoff specialist, averaging a stupifying 30 yards on his punt returns with 2 touchdowns on the seasons and a bunch of returns of 20 yards or more.

Sorry for getting long-winded, but a general overview of Oakland

Oakland by 14

not so sure we should trust your prediction...

you also said siegel would be blackman...nope

you said siegel shot themselves in the foot vs. blackman...truth is they were dominated defensively and we gave you 4 turnovers in a short field and a blocked punt and you still could not make it a close game...

you said mathers not as good as advertised because of competition we had played...wrong again!

0-3 so far...you're out! :D
