Depends on how tired they get. That is what got them beat against R'dale. They wore out early. After another year of Coach Wyant working them in the weight room and a good conditioning program, EVERY team in Rutherford County better watch out.

This is why I call it a toss up.

Siegel's secondary will get tested more this week though as T town will pass more than power rushing them.

Do you sell weight room equipmet or serve as personal trainer as a supplement? :popcorneater:

NOPE! Y'all must think I am kidding but I'm not. I AM RETIRED!

It is just I know how much the losses inflicted on teams in this county was because R'dale trained and lifted MORE!

Now as to 'suppliments', anybody who introduces ANY kid to them ought to be sent to PRISON! No one under 18 should take them.

just a question??? ...are you saying that dunaway and mathers are in the same category?

No but after tha game Dunaway had I think he could really run over alot of Wildcat defenders. Mathers is also another good RB but I also think Bearden's RB Devrin Young is much better.

Yea i messed up a little, but Mathers does well against very BAD teams for example against Smyrna had 72 yrds on 20 carries also against Oakland had 124 yrds on 22 carries without the 71 td run he averages 2 yrds a crry

Could someone share how the Sharpton kid is doing? I have heard he is finished for the year but I was wondering if this is true. I was also wondering about the Burks kid. I know he was hurt in the Lincoln County game and have not heard anything. I do hope these kids are both OK!!

Sharpton has a shoulder separation. Won't play tonight for sure but not entirely ruled out for rest of season. Burks is starting to run but no contact. Again, won't play at Siegel but jury still out on next week. To add to the problem, Montrel Berry is having back problems and is not expected to play tonight, so the Wildcats will be down to third running back, Shaquille Harris. Derek Boles might also get some carries but he has been unable to practice this week, so who knows. A couple of linemen are also banged up but expected to play tonight.

I'm sure Siegel has some injuries, too. It's that time of year. The Wildcats were very lucky most of the season with the exception of Tray Burks injury. Now, they're all coming at once.

    • Never said I thought it was a smart decision. I'm scratching my head at it too.
    • If he wanted to play QB he should have either went to Heritage or William Blount and had a real good chance there. In stead he'll be exactly what he was going to be at Maryville. They already know who their QB is going to be in 2025 and it ain't going to be him.
    • Easier said than done. The man who ran for 250+ yards and 3TDs is gonna be back….and a lot bigger.
    • plus it removes the pressure around winning.
    • You are correct.   The teacher's pay scale is virtually the same in Knox County, now, as it is at Oak Ridge.   The coaching supplements are still higher at Oak Ridge, from what I was told, but not a huge difference.   Plus, Rusty is going from a position coach to an OC position, which is what he was at South Doyle and where his comfort zone is.  And from a special education teaching slot to a PE teaching slot.  There is a lot of positivity in that move without even considering the coaching aspect.   Anybody who sees something negative here is just looking for negativity to begin with.  But some live in that world.   Really good hire for Brent.  He now has two experienced and quality coordinators and can concentrate on being a head football coach.
