A loss could drop sc from a 2 to a 3 seed. That is assuming Howard stays in our quad...which right now...they won't be. CCS' win last week should bump them to quad 2.

The new ratings come out tomorrow. Hard to say with certainty what they will be. SC can do no worse than a 3 seed...I think. Assuming Goodpasture wins Friday...sc can do no better than a 2 seed.

Yes...likely. If Howard wins and ends up in our quad...GP could drop below them with a loss.

Since this thread isn't going anywhere...I have a question for SC fans ONLY. Who would you like to see on our schedule next year that we currently don't play?

Trousdale in place of Westy. Maybe Cookeville/Gallatin/Goodpasture or Greenbrier in place of Cheatem. I really don't mind playing the Cubs. They are a big physical team. These other teams are closer though.

Trousdale Co.with their Super in the stands and not on the field. Maybe Greenbrier.

AS long as it's a school that puts a good team on the field with tradition and good fans.

A bigger school like a Cookville, Lebanon, Gallatin or the likes.

I think we all know the Yeller Waspers will not be on the schedule until they move up into our district...and that's not likely.

 

I would like to see Gallatin...Lebanon or Cookeville also. Greenbrier would be good too. I definitely think we should play up to 5a or 6a if we can. Play someone close that brings a big gate.

Would it effect the district standings if SC was to not show up and lose this game? And is this a must win for York?

 

 

Here is what is on the tssaa.org website under the football playoff scenarios.

 

Smith County has qualified. If Livingston Academy wins they will qualify. If York and Dekalb County win York will qualify. If Smith County and Dekalb County win we must progress to at least the 3rd tiebreaker criteria (#teams played who win 50% or more of their games).

Our fans don't realize how close we are to be in the 2nd year in a contract with Gallatin. Westmoreland was having trouble with their schedule and finally got it worked out so we could play. Any 5A or 6A team would jump at the opportunity to Play SC. Gallatin had already agreeded to play us. It would not be a problem for SC to get a game as long as there was an opening.
