Oh I know...I was just basing on what talent I seen Gordonsville had..2 players..I heard they are now called lebanon east because they have a bunch of Lebanons old coaches..

Im sure Sunbright would have been ranked around 7 or 8 if it wouldnt had been for oleTiger, his attitude and mouth

really killed them on the rank table, its so bad even the real Sunbright fans dont like him.

there is a really strong coalfield team that keeps getting over looked.ask ole tiger bout them and we also beat wartburg which is ranked 7 in 2a

Thank God we have a playoff so that we can sort it all out. These polls are basically just for fun in high school anyways. Now in college, the polls are a big deal. I wish we had a playoff there too so we could sort it out on the field. Human guessing and polls should not influence the winner only the games played on the field.

 

It is rare that the high school team dominates the polls all year wins it all. Happens some, but not much. Most of the time they are strong teams but when you match them up against other strong teams you most likely find an upset of two. I wonder if that would translate to college?

      Honestly the A.D. may be powerless at Maryville to some degree versus other schools. I know he has his hands full with GoFan and all the stupid surprises just from the emails he sends out during the season.

      Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
