So to start the District year, Richland stuns Cornersville and Santa Fe whips Culleoka. Haven't heard or seen a score for Mt. Pleasant and Hampshire. A HUGE surprise in the Richland/Cornersville game. As for Santa Fe, they took care of business against a team struggling for leadership.

Cornersville will be fine. They are just going though a bit of a slump right now. We could use a more experienced backup point guard for Hopkins. She's really the only point we have.

Richland/CA should be an excellent game. Depending on who's hot might determine the winner. I say Richland late.

I believe the Culleoka/Hampshire game might not be as good of a game as people have predicted.

Mt. Pleasant has a an opportunity to prove they belong in the top 4. Santa Fe will be a good measuring stick for them.

Cornerville playing out of district might help get them on the upswing. Cornersvill big.

So after two games, Richland is tied with Santa Fe for first at 2-0. Culleoka and Mt. Pleasant are tied for 3rd at 1-1. CA and Cornersville are both 0-1 and Hampshire is 0-2. I don't think anyone believes that CA and Cornersville are going to stay below Culleoka and Mt. Pleasant. However, it has been a crazy start to the season.

MTP beat Culleoka in double overtime tonight. Lots of small inexcusable mistakes cost Cully big time. Both teams seemed to have improved. Still need work.
