Fresh off a W against the War Eagles, the Devils visit an old opponent. WH played MC in the 80's and 90's I know of but it's been awhile since the two have met up. I like WH in the playoffs against teams that have similiar records. Hopefully WH shows up hungry. I'm picking the Devils but I'll save my predicted score for later in the week.

I remember watching White House play Mont Central in the old "Blanket Bowl" at Boyce Smith field in November of 1983. White House won on a touchdown in the last minute of the game. LOL. I am sure this dates me. You probably weren't even born then

I know the blue devils are fired up for this game! ?The season is 0-0. move on or go home, thats it and all its about at this point. good to see some of the UNDEFEATED freshmen gettin some pt. gonna be some great competition in camp next year. but for now, the devils will move on in the playoffs with a big win over montgomery central 31-12. bdp

Did anyone ask you to have "feeling sorry" feelings for him? If not, then don't get on a public forum and talk about a family like this - especially a 17 year old kid. What's wrong with kids today? Don't lump all kids in the same category. I have 2 kids and I would prefer that you not lump all kids into the same category. That is what is wrong with most adults - not all - but most adults. My prayers are with the Stem family at this time of loss for their family.

 

 

That teaches our kids a lot....I'm not getting the carries so I'm just gonna quit. This is exactly what is wrong with many kids today. They don't get their way, or parents way, so they quit. I have no "feeling sorry" feelings for him at all.

Easy buddy, I know for a fact he was upset that he wasn't getting enough carries. I will never let my child quit something they started because things are going they way they'd like. I don't think I was bashing him in any way or his family...I just think he shouldn't have quit! Our true character shows when the road gets bumpy. I also have heard his parents complain about him not playing enough, upset with the coaches, blah, blah, blah! So I'm sorry if I upset you in any way but just as you were, I was sharing my feelings and answering the question that was posted! Anyways, I like WH 28-10.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
