I couldn't agree more. Two class programs. I was at the game last night and didn't see any fights in the stands etc. What's the deal, anybody know what happened?

tell em pepvol... thanks for motivating our players to beat riverdale blackman posters, we sure do appreciate it.. win or lose against maryville this oak ridge team has a ton to be proud of.. we were expected to even win the first round, let alone beat a very very good riverdale team, and were in position to maybe play for the state title.. oak ridges players love being doubted.. we have been the underdog all year and feast upon it.. i just want to say congratulations to riverdale on a fine season, cause i know there fans werent the ones talking smack.. they have too much respect for oak ridge built up over the many great games we have played with them over the years.. and to you pepvol and the maryville fans we couldnt be happier to be playing another east tennessee team with the great tradition and classiness of the maryville rebels.. whoever wins, it is a dream matchup all east tennesseeans have always wanted... doesnt get any better than this.. i wish maryville the best against us, im sure both teams will give it there all!

Looking forward to next week's East Tennessee matchup between the 2 top programs in the state! Planning to attend since I'll be over there spending Thanksgiving weekend with family. As for Riverdale fans trying to get in the radio booth, I'm not the least bit surprised. Classless! Just absolutely classless!

Its amazing how you shut down the run and force them to pass that you can control the game. By the way thanks for all of the poster board material. Good luck next week against Whitehaven... oh wait you will be sitting at home. Well as an OR fan we want to extend and invitation to all the Blackman to the Maryville OR thread to smack talk us say we are cupcakes and give us even more motivation.

 

Congrats to Riverdale on a good season. Your players never gave up and played their hearts out; you have a lot of class over there. You guys got a good thing going in the Boro and are going to be really good these next couple of years hopefully we will see you later in the playoffs next year. I have a lot of respect for Riverdale and your program. Just sorry we couldn't have met in the Semis like it used to be.

I'm a Maryville fan , and if you don't want to be called an Idiot then you shouldn't act like one . Grown men calling high school kids creme puffs , cup cakes .... now that's about as idiotic and classless as one can get . I've seen this behavior many times before on Coach T ... only usually it's from middle school kids going through puberty , not actual parents of High school kids playing . Go back to calling the high school kids names and get back to your crying and whining about your bracket ... pathetic .

In other words all PA announcers are obnoxious when you are visiting. Glad we got that settled.

Yes there were some "interactive" fans right in front of our radio announcers. The OR broadcasters had the press box window open like they always do. The Riverdale fans there in the back couple rows could hear them calling the game. Obviously it wasn't going well for Riverdale and they were already frustrated. The OR guys were enjoying the game and the inspired play by the Wildcats. The Riverdale fans took exception to the excitement in the voices of the play by play guys for Oak Ridge. The Riverdale "interactive" fans began turning around and getting in the faces of our broadcast guys pointing fingers and threatening comments. One of the broadcasters told them to "turn around and watch the game", by this time more fans began to gather in front of the window to where the broadcasters couldn't see the game without having to stand up on something to see over their heads. At one point one Riverdale fan tried to close the window on our color guys head. At this point, the play by play guy said "it looks like we're going to need and armed escort out of the press box". Luckily, one of our former players dad is an officer down there and he showed up to make sure our guys got out safely. It was pretty crazy there for a while, but looking back on it, it is pretty hilarious. Listening to it on the replay while it's happening is classic.
