One thing that would concern me is that whoever wins this gamehas to play again next week in the semis think about the minor injuries on both sides right now as well as a couple of major injuries coupled with the physical play that will be played tommorow that sets up the makings of an upset next week. I think its a shame that these 2 great programs have to play now instead of the finals these are by far the 2 best teams in this division.

It might be a concern for you,but there is no way either betsy or GP is going to beat Alcoa.No way No how!You can quote appy state this or that.I dont buy it.So take Alcoa out of that equation.I know cak beat betsy so I know Alcoa wont have a problem with them and I am not even going to waste time thinking about GP.As far as Physical play Alcoa always plays physical.I think they took cak's best shot and came out fine.So I guess what I'm saying is Alcoa wins this game by at least as much as the last and then cruises by whoever next week.

Good Luck CAK hope u win. Alcoa has gotten way too cocky and dont i dont mean to offend any1 but they dont eserve to win State cause they recruit "suggest" their players. that doesnt really giv any other 3A school a chance to win a state championship. GO CAK!! Pull an upset, make the world happy

      No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me.       It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
