So sick of hearing how great Alcoa is they are but enough already you all are like us or any other school you have to get up for 1 maybe 2 games a year granted not many powerhouses around but geez I understand Alcoa is suppose to play in the Kirk herbistret thing if true then you all may see Alcoa meet their match

Like I said earlier cak has closed the gap and I'm sure others will too Alcoa enjoy the ride because it wont last forever

My advice to you is quit eating so many sour grapes.Looks to me that the fine CAK posters have gotten all the pats on the backs and all the atta boys than most grown men could stand. You should get off these boards and live a life,or get a hobby cause if we win state again i'm afraid that you may do something drastic. No one wants to see that happen.Maybe seek some psychological help. With all those rich kids dad's surly one is in that line of business.Maybe you can get Tony Dalton to get an injunction to keep us from being so proud.I don't even know why this thread is still here. The Alcoa vs cak is once again past tense......RIGHT?

Be careful when you mention Tony Dalton. He will proofread your post and if you have any misspelling, you will pay dearly! :roflol: Otherwise, great post! :thumb:

This post has been proofed and approved by TD! :thumb:

1) They're not suppose to play in the Herby Classic. It was just a rumor.

2) Alcoa (Like Maryville and Riverdale before them) have EARNED the right to brag and be proud of their accomplishments.

3) Every (sane) Alcoa fan knows the ride wont last forever but you dont get half way up Space Mountain and go "F this stop the ride lets get off" You take the whole ride and you enjoy the heck out of it.

4) If ANY team doesnt like Alcoa, Alcoa winning, Alcoa bragging, Alcoa celebrating....then there is one "simple" solution. Beat us.

My comment is for number 2 thru 4 Yes we should be very proud! You enjoy the ride and when you reflect back on these times it makes you appreciate the ride all the more! GO Alcoa! KEEP HUNGRY AND KEEP ROLLING! :hungry::thumb:

ok... let's stop insulting lawyers. this thread should be over

I'll be at the Alcoa/Betsy game in my letterman, proud of the name on the back (Warriors). Go F5, keep on towards Cookeville. Betsy shouldnt give you any trouble. O-line isnt as good as CAK's and neither is the QB or WR. WR are pretty solid though. and watch out for #7. he can move pretty good. But so can #4, #29, #1, #16, #81, #39, and so on throughout the Alcoa roster.

I'm gettin excited for the food at Goddard. Remind me again of the menu...?

Be proud of your team and how u performed against Alcoa this year (both times). I am and I am an Alcoa fan and wore the colors u played against. I have always had a great respect for athletes that play with heart, emotion, and work to getting better. CAK has proved they are doing all these things. I wish last weeks game would have been for the State Championship, because u'r team has proved they deserve the recognition of having played the F5 the best. Congrats on a great season, glad u will be there supporting the F5. Be proud of your team, just as I am of mine, good luck to u in the future.

Good post. It is time to move on and quit grinding on one another. Two high quality programs with a rivarly that is beginning to get a little nasty. Neither program needs that tarnish. I have been a willing participant so I need to clean up my house as well.

There has always been a great attempt at humor in this rivarly that some new posters (on both sides) have misread (IMHO). I hope we can continue this type fun without hurting feelings on either side. Besides APB and BC would go nuts if they could not photoshop! BC is about 6'7" and has the reach of AT&T so we do not want to anger him.

The menu consists of band burgers, fries, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, and pizza. I hear band burgers will be in limited supply. I assume they are trying to sell out this year's inventory as the home season comes to a close. Strongly recommend the cheese burger or chicken and fries if you get there early enough. The pizza is made by the Tomato Head and is really good if warm.

Thanks for the update on 7. Been watching film with JR and agree 7 can move. Betsy's D-Line is very quick and rolls off blocks to the ball very well.

Look forward to seeing the CAK fans tonight. Wear your colors proudly. No doubt, you have earned it at Alcoa.

We'll only have around 100 burgers/cheeseburgers tonight...we are trying to sell out without having any leftover. The pizza is Snappy Tomato. We will have plenty of hot dogs, nachos, fries, and some Tornadoes. In addition, there will be caramel apples with whipped cream and walnuts, hot apple cider, and hot chocolate. If you've patronized either concession, the band appreciates your business!

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
