Im just curious, but how did Ensworth beat Smyrna. I mean from what i see on tv is that if you stop Ensworth run game yall win. Also Ensworth seems to be having trouble with almost the same offense Maryville runs.

You right stop Ensworth run game you win NOT I think they just scored on a Touch down pass and wait til the end of the game when them there big guys wear out those there smaller guys

they also dont have the #1 tackel in the state playing tonite. what beat smyrna was 3 turnovers. cant do that against ensworth or maryville and win!

Smyrna is losing about 30 seniors (some starters some not ) so i agree it will be hard for them to get back next yr,but, i dont totally count them out. i think, and this is my personal opinion which i think i am allowed to have ,the reason people bring up the maryville's so called "soft" schedule is that a soft schedule will get you to the dance .when you get there yr opponent can expose you. which is evident with the past two years championship loses. this is not talking bad about maryville as a team (they have a good chance to win saturday) this is just talking about their schedule.

 

The soft district just gets us to the playoffs, once in the playoffs we get exposed. We have been exposed by 3 teams in the last 10 years during the playoffs and we only won a mere 45 playoff games and 7 state championships. That soft schedule really leaves us helpless in the playoffs. Thanks Bulldog for point out how evident that is. BTW...how many playoff games and championships did your team win in the last 10 yrs...I'm sure it is evident that your tough schedule had you prepare to win all of them

Didnt say you were exposed in the playoffs. i said you got exposed in the championship games in the last "two" years.at least try reading the stuf that you highlite. touchy ! touchy !

And Baylor is not as big as Ensworth.

Smyrna shot ourselves in the foot that game like 5 turn overs. Just over all a horrible game.
