Sp's young guys can play some ball now...Sp returns almost all starters on defense next year...O line will be fine I think..You have Blevins and Branham returning then Collier, Chance, Martin, Hutchins etc.. will fill in and do their part...One young guy to mention to watch for the future is Khalil Mitchell...If there was ever a guy that looked like Brandon Siler from Florida a few years back its him..He has what it takes to be a football player and a good one at that....Sp is still loaded and will be for the next few years! The only thing these boys have to do is hit the weight room hard and play up to their talent level

Brandon Siler? Your joking. This boy is not big enough to play in the SEC. If he was big enough to play in the SEC, he would be in my Murphy Fair book and Grider would have had him playing this year. Im not falling for this mess.

Ahh well looks like we have some Championship Bloodlines in some of these young horses...I think they should be ready to help fill in and step up next year if they produce on the field...All 5 look to be players anyways...77 and 78 surely can find some time on the line somewhere...I would imagine 77 will be more on defense as he is probably too big to be asked to go both ways...78 is got some treetrunks on him and should def help maybe at a OT spot I would imagine

10 and 40 to me both look like future studs at LB....40 could end up at DE if he gets any bigger though...He is a really big kid to be a Freshman....I think with our losses this year on Dline you could see 40,47 or even 50 play some at the edge next year...All three could def get the job done from a physical standpoint... We seem to have a TON of talent at the LB position for next year... Correct me if Im wrong but wont we have 10,24,25,35,40,47, and 50?

Hopefully we can figure out a way to get the best 11 on the field but regardless its def a good predicament to be in

The 2011 pirates will have some questions to begin answering in the spring. Like someone else posted earlier on here. The 2011 defense could potentially be NASTY! The 2011 offense will survive. The pirates should be able to put 3 guys on the field on offense that probably run in the 4.5 range. It should be exciting to watch for the next several years.

I'd like to see them stay on the schedule if it can work out.

Also, there could be a game or two on Thursday nights.

Polk is still on the schedule as are Boyd and SM and we picked up Seq Co. Lost Grace, Cascade and Central. We need games week 1 (Grundy still has a decision to make), week 9 and week 10. Grace won't play us in football so we are canceling all basketball and baseball games with them. Same will go for Grundy if they won't play us. Having a hard time finding teams to play without long travel involved or teams that are just a big mismatch or scheduling issues. Talked to several teams but their open dates and ours don't match. Even looking in North GA for games.

Jr High games are on Thursday nights so that would be tough to do until their season is over

Your joking. Grider is making our boys play some games on Thursday nights next year? What kind of mess is that? Highschool boys play on Friday night, not Thursday night. Grider needs to put this on WEPG if we are going to play on Thursday night so we will know when these boys are playing.

    • I believe that was last year. I was interested in the Jones vs Baker comment, so I went back and looked at GC. I am not a fan of either nor am I a baseball guru. This looks like to me the duel was not close and if the errors would not have been made Eagleville would have won. I assume you are a little biased. I do think your mph for Jeffcoat and Baker must be from last year.  Baker-85 pitches 67 strikes. 5.2 innings, 5H, 1BB, 0ER and 7K's. 3 errors  Jones- 78 pitches 37 strikes. 4 innings, 2H, 5BB, 0ER and 1K. 1 error   Adams and the UH kid are really good as well. What about South Pitt and Oakdale? I heard they have some good ones.
    • I hate this for all the kids in the program and fans alike. I can't recall of anything like this before in my lifetime but I'm sure it isn't a first. After criminal investigations are complete and the TSSAA looks into this the program it will be facing Nuclear Winter for some time to come. It's always the innocent left behind that end up paying the price for something someone else has done. I'm sure the transfer portal will be very active in Clinton over the summer months. How could you find a good coach worth his salt that would take on a situation like this not knowing what will happen.
    • I’ve seen Jeffcoat in person twice and he was 84-87 both times and the one time I saw Baker he was low 80’s, he actually got out dueled by Jones from ER in that outing.
    • Pirate fans, thread is up on the baseball message board.
