RIP Coach James "Punky" Dalton

Coach Dalton passed away today for those of you who may not know. Coach meant a lot to so many of us and was more than a coach to me. Thanks for the memories you won't be forgotten.

Coach Dalton was a great guy. Truly sad to hear this. Lots of great memories in his class. RIP coach

Just heard this morning about this. Actually did local play by play for a couple of years in the mid 80s and got to spend some time around Coach Dalton. He treated this "Maryville Guy" really well, and I enjoyed talking football with him. Great coach and even a better person, and a great sense of humor. We lost him way too soon. Prayers to his family, and the Alcoa community.

I appreciated Coach Dalton for his time with the Alcoa baseball team. He helped form my son and his future.

My family and I will miss him. His love and loyalty to Alcoa was truly inspiring.

 

Bless his family as they mourn his passing.
