its funny how you already have JC playing a substate game at home. dont you have to win the region for that first? you havent gone undefeated in your district so how do you already think you can fly through the district and region tournaments?

the reason he is blowing about Jackson co. is because he is the asst.coach

Single A (Hometown Cook'n)

A

Wes Grace - he is the MVP of his team without him THEY go nowhere with him they are a hard team to beat. It Means so much to have a leader. Top Scorer and always plays to win.

Trent Boles - 2 year Starter played all 4 years. He is the scorer and leader of his team. has taken a team people had said would be winning half their games at this point in the season and made them a team nobody wants to play. Bet you ask any coach he has played against and they will give him the nod. Ave 20ppg and also a leader in assist.

Jordan Godwin- Great athlete and always plays hard. Leading scorer and has been in doubles digits in scoring and rebounds many games.

You would be correct, the last time i seen them play was when they came to Gainesboro for a substate game and went home with the L. Which is what will happen this year if you don't win the region down there.

How would you go about beating CSAS? Sounds like you guys will have a tough game in sub state. No matter who it is out of the Region 3 you play.

Kendall Anthony is Mr. everything at Liberty Tech this season.I just watched him almost single-handidly win the 14AA district championship,in which there are no cupcakes. For those who don't know, the entire offense runs through him,and even with three players on him in the latter stages of the game his 41 point outburst sealed the deal.As the point guard he compleately breaks down the defense, and after numerous layups cause the defense to collapse into the lane kicking the ball out to wide open shooters is no problem.I've seen him only one other time this year,at Chester Co.(he had 46 there),but for me to consider anyone better than him in AA is not happening. Mr. Anthony has a crossover that left some top level defenders on the floor, flat on their butts tonight, literaly, and more than once.He has a pure stroke from beyond the arc,and hardly ever misses a free throw.Add his vision and court awareness to the mix,and I think he's better than anyone I've ever seen in person at the high school level...including Willie Kemp,Wayne Chism,Tony Delk, and Cannon Whitby to name a few.Liberty is highly regarded in the polls, but without Anthony they'd have been lucky to finish in the top four in the district,in my opinion.

Wow....Kendall Anthony is having a great senior season, and he has had a nice 4 year run for Liberty. You put him in the class with some great West 10 basketball players. I would certainly disagree. Liberty is winning this year but their team is ok. I watched Lil Ant score 40 against Kedren Johnson and Marshall County but I never left the game thinking he was an all-time west 10 great.....Hands down Tony Delk is the best HS person I've ever seen in person and i've seen plenty

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
