So here is a new one. Who wins? Why? private vs. public? ........ Without a shadow of a doubt, the bears would come out on top. Baylor is a good team, but they are not a great team. Baylor could not handle the pressure of Brad, Tucker,Hames, Hutsen and cant leave out Patrick. Those could be 5 very easy wins for us and could seal it with the likes of crutcher and bromley. Until the bears coach calls or TSSAA changes its pub/pri stance, this is a mute point. Baylor takes on anybody. Doesn't run from publics or privates. Both teams are very good. Not sure those would be 5 wins at all, much less easy. Tucker would have to beat Mackey at 215. Hames would have to beat Watson (never lost to a Tn wrestler in high school) at 125. Hutsen would have to beat a returning D1 State Champ at 119 in Brunner. Brad would have to beat a tough Cate at 152.

How would you ever know if you are not willing to give Baylor a match? I am not sure that Bradley would be able to beat CBHS but who knows when they fail to compete against each other. ghouse
Mackey does not have a chance in helllo to make 215. Mackey has been following his descent down to 215 for quite some time now, those of us following DII closely have known for a while. The last weigh-in he had before state duals (I don't know that one yet) was well into the low to mid 220's. This should make Baylor an even tougher team for the individuals as they have another very capable heavyweight in Barrett Gouger.
bradley86
Chattanooga Times Free Press said today Mackey was wrestling 215 in traditionals.

Oh thats right they do not have to qualify thru regions which are this weekend. He would have to make it this weekend if he had any intentions of wrestling 215 against Tucker since he has to qualify at that weight in five days. Regardless Bolton would I believe pin big john Mackey. Jbig John is a beast in the 1st period, but Bolton is a great rassler. bcb iii 27-24 tbsfbag, just saying Edited February 6, 2011 by bear cat brown

Lol, you might not win any of those 7 matchups. . You might win two and you might win 0 with bonus points for Baylor in several of those matches. As tough as Bradley is , I don't think they would match up well. Of course this is hypothetical.
