From what I saw Van Buren played the game not to get blown out. They put 5 guys in the paint and dared CSAS to shoot, which they did and made it. That plan might have worked last year against the Pats but not this year. They have 4-5 players who can knock it down from outside. CSAS will beat Lookout Valley by 20+.

I agree. Congratulations to LV for making it to the big game but I cannot see them even keeping it close. They will try to control the clock and limit CSAS' possessions but with all the outside shooting the Pats have, it shouldn't have a dramatic effect on the outcome.

I don't remember LV ever making it this far. Conratulations to them and maybe they can pull off an on the road substate game and see their season extended just a little farther.

We would love to see CSAS bring home some gold hardware from the Murphy Center.

Congrats to LV and CSAS. Good season boys!

CSAS by 8 over LV next. I'm no real B-Ball guy but CSAS just looks a little better to me.

Van Buren played a great season this year too.

We are just a little closer to FOOTBALL! :thumb:

Go Eagles!

I know at this point anything can happen and regular season means nothing but seeing that Lookout Valley has lost to some teams CSAS beat by 20 and 30 points Im going to say CSAS wins by 25

You may be correct, I am not a basket ball guy. I do like watching it. I will be there for the game. I thought LV might match up better than everyone else. I staying with my CSAS by 8. :popcorneater:

Congrats to CSAS, they played a great game last night. They are very well coached and have some extremely talented players. # 4 and #24 was shooting the lights out. We didn't have anyone to guard them one on one, maybe that was the reason for the zone. But they sure made us pay for that. Their halfcourt defense was treacherous. We had very few open looks, all night. I was kinda suprised by the pace they played on offense. I expected more of a up tempo run. I think they could have beat us by 30 or more last night. Seems like they where just taking it easy, maybe saving their energy for the rest of the year. If VB played them 10 times, we MIGHT win one of the games. Their inside game didn't show much at all and that may give them problems on down the road. I hear Clarksville Academy has some big guys and that could cause some matchup problems. But CSAS guards could cause them problems?? Anyway, I predict CSAS cruises over LV in the region finals. But I also thought SM would win at home last night. Good luck to both from here on out.

Congratulations to my Eagles on a good season.:thumb:

Congratulations also to LV. You had our number all year, and last night confirmed that.

The championship game will be a good one. Both teams are very well coached and have a lot of talent. CSAS should win, and I think they will. However, it will be interesting to see what both coaches dial-up. LV should be able to slow CSAS more than most have, but I don't see them scoring enough to pull-out the upset. Best of luck to both teams. This one will be worth the price of admission.:thumb:

I been coaching a long time and made comments about CSAS and other schools, which I was dead wrong. I have got to know the coach I can tell you, he don't have to go after any players, the moms and dad work hard to keep there kids in a good school and work with there kids and send them to AAU and Camps instead of playing video games when they get home. Same goes for Grace and Temple and other kids that seems to do good on and off the court and fields. It is sad that someone with a Eight grader almost 7 ft tall will say things about people like this ,yes I know who you are, so please support the kids and know kids are going to come to Signal for football or South Pitt,.and there big brother that was so good is teaching the little brother and thats why most program stay strong. Not cause the R word. CSAS is not that great they just give all they got when they get on the hardwood and you can believe they go into a game knowing there are the better team whether they are or not and the body tells it all. the mind is a powerful energy.

Um, if you talking about my son - then you are dead wrong! I just joined this site today looking up basketball information and my son is the tallest eighth grader (last year) at Signal. We have NEVER spoke ill of anyone - coaches or kids because that is not the way I was raised or the way I raised my son! So - please make note: I nor anyone in my family is mountain troll. I do not know who this person is, but don't associate anything to my son! Especially since I read where you talked bad about my son in another post! Yes - we all have eyes and ears - so watch what you say yourself!
