Region 5-AA

Go back and read the 9aa and 10aa, 9aa, 10aa and region 5aa threads and you will see that there was alot of trash talk from 10aa posters, maybe not from you, but from several others about a clean sweep and Sycamore getting blown out by maplewood, etc. 9AA takes pride in their basketball just like 10AA. We dont appreciate being called overrated, a down district, a lower level of compettion or any of the other false things that were said on here. Not sure why you are so defensive about it... if you didnt say any of those things, then NO ONE WAS TALKING TO YOU. And if you did say some of those things (which I will be looking into)and now are feeling the need to backtrack... dont! just admit you were wrong and try a little ketchup with your crow.

I'm not defensive about what was said, but 90% of it wasn't said by 10AA posters as you are claiming. I'm defensive about you making assumptions about who is posting what. As you "look into it", take the time to look at the posters who were doing almost all of the trash talking about 9AA and you will see it is 9AA posters or fans from other Districts other than 10AA.

As a matter of fact, most of the trash talking is 9AA posters from one 9AA school hating another 9AA school.

"US" vs. "THEM"

Maybe it's a family fewd. But don't mess with the family.

Moving on....

Game Time - Tip off - 3 hours!

For East Lit. what are their strong points? I have not seen them, but they can obviously shoot. Many high scoring games, and it sounds like they can have explosive scoring runs.

On the other side of the ball, are they as quick as the other 10aa teams on defense?

Agree to moving on...

EL has to be good to beat CPA twice by double digits and have the record they have. The same could be said of Syc. beating Maplewood by double digits. This time of year most matchups are two really good teams who must play well and shoot well or they will lose. Cold shooting, foul trouble, missed free throws usually make the difference. What CPA forgot was that if you play good defense, you have a better margin of error to be off a bit on your game and still win.

As a side note, I was wondering how many high school teams score 50 points in a half and still lose a game by double digits as CPA did with EL. That has to be a rarity, since most HS games have scores in the 50's or at most 60's.

I can't speak for Maplewood but all of the Cheater's Prosper Academy folks are helping all of their starters fill out the paperwork to transfer BACK to the schools they all went to last year! :roflol: :roflol: :roflol:

As MrNoItAll says over on the softball threads, 'they'll be a payin' to get in at the State Tournament'...this year.

    • From the stats I found online it looks like Gabe Eddington- .484, 44 total hits, 43 runs scored and 42 stolen bases.Meanwhile, on the mound, the Austin Peay commit had a record of 8-2, while compiling 50 innings pitched with an ERA of 1.82. Carson Parrott - 7-0 overall as a starting pitcher with a 1.41 ERA, 95 strikeouts and a save in 53 and 1/3 innings pitched. Parrott hit .392 with 3 home runs, 21 RBIs with a .566 OBP and .716 SLG. Jaxon Walker - .454, 53 hits, 38 RBI’s, 9 HRs.   Not saying the other three aren’t deserving but Quillen had better BA than all three and was just as dominate pitching.  Like I said I don’t know how you leave off the 3a Baseball player of the year last year when he put up better numbers.  I know Greeneville’s Coach wasn’t happy about it saying “I don’t give a s*** what anybody else says. That kid is the best player in Tennessee, and everybody else on our team rises to his level“.  I’m sure winning another State Championship as a junior is more important to Carson than the individual award, it’s just a head scratcher to not be nominated
    • What coach in their right mind would want to come here and set theirself on fire to keep her warm.
    • Shoulder not going to the #### show .   Macon will name the score this year.
    • Plenty of time. The former coach was busy with family and disappeared all summer anyway. Obvious choice has the same family issues. First game is in March 2025.
