I ain't never seen Murphy's Pole, and I don't want to.

 

As for the coaches poll, ain't too suprisin'. Signal Mountain will win the 4a Championship, then everyone will believe. Just wait and see.

I wouldn’t put too much stock in a preseason poll. I agree with the top two teams, but I don’t know enough about the rest to have an informed opinion. I would probably rank Signal Mountain a little higher based on what I saw last year.

I’m not saying they are going to be wrong, I’m just saying you never want to put too much stock in them. We’ve all seen teams at various levels that can surprise you in a positive or negative way once the season starts. It happens all the time. Like I said, I completely agree with the top two teams, and that has nothing to do with me being a Greeneville fan. I just don’t think anyone knows enough about every team to make a legitimate poll before the season starts.

 

Besides, I was just trying to make the Signal Mountain fans feel better about it. A few (not all) of them seem a little sensitive.
