As much as I appreciate the need for money to run a sports program, what about letting one person per party that was staying for the varsity games go pay? You know, there has to be some trust in these situations and there's probably a better way to get your money (I've never seen this done in our gym...). But, it's certainly NOT the visiting teams' responsibility to figure that out. Leaving the gym wasn't gonna insure honesty, I assure you. As I said, it was his rude and arrogant demeanor at the time. Doesn't make him a jerk for life, but he certainly was that night and a lot of people felt the same way.

I certainly understand your point. It clearly is not the visitors' responsibility to plan the logistics of getting the crowd back to the lobby to pay their admission. But I would offer that, as a visiting fan, it's one's responsibility to follow the "rules" of the host school. If that means exiting the gym when asked and going back to pay, one should honor the request first and ask questions later. Coach Spencer asked a number of times and people refused to move. If there was some confusion, that's one thing; but when people started giving the "shut up, I'm not moving" wave, what else can he do?

I'm sure there were several groups that sent one representative to the table to pay for all, but he has no way of knowing which groups those are. All he can do is ask everybody to leave. If some chose not to pay anyway, they're just guilty of stealing. I'm sure someone at GHS would throw a fit if visitors from another school tried to get in without paying.

But that's all old news...

Heard that suspension of a key player for grades is on the table and a key player also took his jersey off on the floor after being subbed for. If Spencer has lost his team, it's time for a change!

Wrong on both counts. There's no academic suspension being discussed for anybody, and nobody took off their jersey over being subbed. Don't know where you got your intel, but your mole sold you out.

I gather from your handle that you probably went to, and graduated from, WHHS. You at least have some kind of legitimate interest in the program. I'd think you'd have a little more respect for the kids than to spread rumors about them on a message board just to make yourself appear to have some kind of inside information. I know we're not talking national secrets, Coke's secret formula, or grandma's greenbean casserole recipe, but there's no reason for anybody on the board to discuss, or even speculate on, the personal lives of the players or coaches. It's about the teams' performances on the floor and people's opinions of the performances. Let's keep it that way, please.

Thank you, I keep trying to say the truth about GB but hey what do I know. name the time and place 5-sport and I will be there- that is if the boss let's me! If she aint happy no one is happy.

Just what IS the truth about GB? Nobody is braggin' about how good they've been, how good they are or how good they're gonna be. There's just you...criticizing Connor Peach. 'Name the time and place.' Again, I'd love to, but if you have to get permission that tells me all I need to know...

Who's your team again?

Whatever. And nobody's guilty of stealin'. WH should've been chargin' from the get-go and there would've been no problem. Just so you know, GHS wouldn't throw a fit. If we catch someone trying to get in without payin' we'll give 'em one chance and if they don't pay we have one of our finest escort them out. Case closed.

It is old news...till next time.

I see no one in this district that compares to Macon County. The Goodpasture and Greenbrier games were no contest. MC will run away with this district and they are already showing that early.

They haven't played White House yet. It will be a good one next Tue. at Macon. Looking like it will come down to those two 2 teams. I predict a split in the reg. sea. with both winning at home.
