Surf4life
Did Hampton scrimmage Science Hill yesterday?
CHHS72
Volunteer played Sullivan East and Morristown East on Saturday and beat both of them soundly. Of course these where just scrimmages but are some indication of relative strenghts and weaknesses. They play Science Hill in Johnson City tonight. I know you guys from Carter County think the whole conference is Happy Valley, Elizabethton and Hampton, but there are five other teams in the conference. starman
Can you advise me the status of Kevin Harrison injury from football. We all wish him a speedy recovery. Kevin is a great player and one I love to watch play. Don't count the dogs out as long as Kevin is on the floor.

deputydog
Kevin had an M.R.I. yesterday and should hopefully know something by Thursday.
deputydog
Doesn't look good for Kevin. Preliminary report is a torn A.C.L. and a sprained M.C.L. Don't know how long he will be out, could be a while or the whole season. It is truly a shame because he is a fine player and to get injured before his senior season seems unfair. The 'Dogs will persevere though. Coach Hazelwood will go back to the drawing board and come up with something...I hope...
Wilsonball
I HEARD UNAKA WAS MOVIN UP TO 2A NEXT YEAR ARE THERE ANY TRUTH TO THIS IF SO WHAT DO YOU ALL THINK CAN THEY COMPETE IN THE LARGER WATAUGA?
starman
Why would they move up to 2A when they opted to drop 2A schools from their football schedule for next season. This was done because of lack of numbers. They are nowhere near the number of students required to play at the 2A level and the numbers are down since the last count by the TSSAA was taken. They have had success in basketball and baseball at the 1A level and girls softball and basketball are very successful too. I look for it to be no different in the years to come. Wilsonball
I HEARD TDOG THAT THE FRESH AND SOPH GROUP WAS LOADED WITH STUDENTS THAT PUSHED THEM TO THE LIMIT AND THAT TSSAA SAID THEY COULD MOVE TO 2A AS OF NEXT YEAR SO WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THEIR CHANCES IN THE BIG WATAUGA? swish1
Not meaning to change the subject. But why does Clinch play in the Watauga Valley conf. when they could cut their travel distance in half by playing in the Cumberland valley conf.? go370
My thoughts exactly on Clinch I was thinking the same thing about them. They are a long distance away from the rest of the conference. Doesn't make much sense.
CHHS72
I think they would have problems. The best they could hope for this year would be middle of the pack. Now let's get back to Watauga, there is a thread for the Watauga Valley.
