Gordonsville 2011

Gordonsville is kind of an anomaly.

They don't return many starters, but the upperclassmen have won a lot of ballgames together and they're loaded with talent.

I don't know who else has seen them in action, but I'm interested in anyone else's take on them.

They only have 4 returning starters on both sides of the ball, but the new starters aren't cheerleaders either.

They start the season with the tough task of playing Smith, Trousdale, and Friendship back to back to back.

That's a tough task for any team from 3A down, except Alcoa, of course.

And, I welcome any comments from Roy Dillard.

I watched em in the jamboree started out slow but Baxter can sometimes be contagious. When they got goin they could score quick an stout D. Lookin forward to seeing the owls come to the jungle. And the other two you mentioned should be good ones too.

Hard to tell much from a jamboree, but G'ville looks to be solid again this year. #2 looks like a playmaker.

I haven't looked at Gordonsville schedule but that is 3 tough games to start out with, Gville could easily start the season 0-3. I haven't seen them but heard they beat Upperman pretty bad in the jamboree.

I wouldn't doubt that we'll make it as far as the quarters again.

I think what they do from their is up to the kids and the coaches.

Croz, I am sure the Tigers will have a good team again this year. They are alot like the SP Pirates....they just reload. One thing about those first three games, the team should only get better from those games...win or lose. I am sure we will see ya'll later this year in the playoffs...hopefully in SP. Yeah, but I don't know if Gville reload with the high caliber bullets that SP does.

Gordonsville will be typical Gordonsville-Smith County. They will be solid anyway you look at it. They could very easily start the season off 0-3, but be a good 1A team. This could be the year they finally beat Smith County-Carthage though.

I think we'll finally get an idea how good Gville is this week.

We tangle with Carthage, it will be a tough one.

Good luck to Gville Friday. I'm sure that the bragging rights associated with this classic rivalry are huge. Sure would be nice to have them for a year.

go get em tigers repersent us small guys i know you need no other motivation for this game but hope you all and clay can beat those bigger schools this friday it only makes you better to play up
