This is the first I've heard of it. You'd think if that were true, it would be all over the county by now.

Last night was the first I had heard of it, but it came from a fairly reliable source. It was supposed to have happened at the beggining of the week. I thought maybe I was the only one behind on the news.

If true, then I agree that was pretty low-down. Seriously doubt if the whole football team was behind it, though.

really! i doubt that Lc is mostly so and jrs we are only going to get better as the year goes on we have 5 sophmores on the starting off. line

Yea lc is young and might improve as the year goes. I don't think lc plays anymore region 6a teams so a winning streak may be in store lol I'm kiddin but in the future good luck.

It was a great game! Enjoyed watching both teams play and of course I was for the LC Panthers, but I also know Jacob Tucker and he is a great athlete and even more a great kid....The other team members I don't know but it is not a one man show for sure, your guys did a great job....Better luck next week Panthers, tough loss but looking forward to a successful season....

Just to clear this up the whole crap on the field thing was a lie.. Just like when "Hickman Co came and painted the edge of our practice field" this was just a tactic that Coach Sharp used to pump up the team. It never happened

Didn't think that sounded like something any of our boys would do, but thanks for clearing it up.

    • Worst thing SC could do is get rid of Dyer. I agree with everything said above.
    • Jada Hart, Jasmine Bailey and Kaitlyn Patterson the first two being PG's are all good guards and can handle ball pressure and are good players. Raven Wells will be a good post. There were games this summer where any one of the one's I mentioned were in double figures. Gibson County will control TO's much better this year and they will press more and get back to playing faster. AA is down across the board. I have been all over watching ball. Alcoa jumped to AAA and Jackson County moved down. to A. No telling who wins it this year. I agree Union City, Westview and Gibson County will be a dogfight and must see basketball. Poster insuated that Gibson County has a mental block against Westview. Well give me Maddie Gray and we line up last year and they wouldn't have won a game. Let's see how Westview does this year. Their starting five last year had three transfers in it. Rogers from Obion, Trevathon from Greenfield and Gray from South Fulton. Looks like they swung and missed with the girl from Florida this year so let's see how they do playing with kids from Westview. Gibson County has a really good 7th grade class this year.I have done learned you play with what you got and work them hard and develop them and see what happens. Just keep battling and see what happens. I like our team this year. Very athletic. Every year is the same with injuries and can be catistrophic to any. I watched GC all summer long. South Side and GC was very evenly matched and was a classic war.We had some quality wins this summer. Beat Huntingdon, Henry County, Bowling Green, Liitle Rock Central as well as a couple other quality Kentucky Teams. Westview's talent pool may not be what it has been without transfers the next few.
    • I think Gibson County is a top five team this next season but I do agree they will drop off a lot after this year.  Westview lost a ton and will be down this season and hopes of returning to glass house again is slim.  The run they have had is super impressive!
    • My take on GC for this year: Based on what I saw last year and heard this summer, I’m not sure GC could surprise me next year with any outcome. Wilkins is a great coach - they could win the district and region and go to Murfreesboro. They could also come in third in the district and not get out of region. The two returning starters are very talented but Guru is right that they didn’t always play hard last year. The other three starters are good enough in their roles for GC to be successful. There is no depth. Foul trouble could be a problem - Wilkins may avoid it by playing a lot of zone. An injury would be catastrophic. I hope they have a big year and Wilkins rides off into the sunset in Murfreesboro because, without some significant transfers, there are some tough years coming in the next few.
    • Daniel Boone coming down to 3A makes this much tougher. They added a couple transfers to the Flores girl. Cocke Co, Northview, Greeneville, and Daniel Boone - only two headed to Murfreesboro.
