2. Again with all that money....who's idea was it to build a press box the size of a coke can? So much for the Yellow Jacket Network getting to film tonight. After the AD told them where to set up the SM coaches came up and ran them off. So no broadcast live or tape delay this week Grundy fans because they had no internet either.

 

3. If that's all the Eagles have to offer this season....South Pittsburg will spank you.

 

Other than that it's a great field, track, beautiful scenery, nice folks to talk to, skilled announcer and a great band. Enjoyed talking to the chain gang.

 

Congratulations to the Yellow Jackets for giving Signal a lot more game than anyone expected.

Your right busgus. The Eagles looked flat and uninspired. They will have to play better to win next week. But, even on an off night, they beat your team by 32 points. With the Pirates coming next week, I think our boys may have been looking past Grundy. SP is looking good again. It will be a tough game.

i'm glad you said it..."off night,looked flat, unsinspired" was that your excuse for last week too? like i said s. pitt will beat sm by three tds. wouldnt suprise me to see polk and seq. co. beat this team.

1. Town of Signal Mountain (Lots of Baylor South people) won't let us put up better signs. We been tryin' and will keep fighting.

 

2. I'm ashamed of our facilities. The pressbox, porta-potties, tents, and concession stand are temporary. No money from the county. Even gave the money from the sale of the Middle School to East Hamilton. Citizens of Signal Mountain, the town of Signal Mountain, and Walden had to come up with millions just to get the school built. We're trying to raise money to complete the stadium, but it's difficult in this economy. Give a little time.

 

3. I think you know that is not all the Eagles have to offer. If we had played harder and Price had been more aggressive in his play calling, yall would have accused us of running up the score. South Pitt will be a tough game, but I expect the Eagles to be up to the challenge.

 

4. Parking sucks. If you have ever hunted Prentice Cooper, you know the terrain. Could have leveled all the ridges, but then the scenery and environment would have been totally different. Don't know there was a good solution on that tract of land. Hopefully, a little exercise ain't gonna kill nobody.

Better parking for the 40 fans Grundy brought. That was a pathetic show of support for your team. Was it everyone staying home because they new what was going to happen, just like our eagles did? Do you have a band and if so did they stay home too because they didn't want to witness the inevitable? Good grief SM traveled two hours to Blackman last week and we had 600+ people there.

 

As for facilities we have to have gate money to build them because our tax dollars go to Hamilton County and believe me they don't give it to our school. And it takes a bunch of Gates when the opponent brings 40 people.

Never seen anyone be so excited about getting beat. Someone needs to tell Grundy's coach that its not "keep away", its football. If there was an award for clock-management, 3rd&15 handoffs, and delay-of-game penalties Grundy would be a shoe-in. Great effort to not get beat "that bad." Not sure who the first to use this phrase was but I love the qoute, "Moral victories are for cowards." The Grundy kids played extremely hard and 7, 2, & 33 are studs. The QB threw some great passes but wasn't given many chances. Just wish their coach hadn't thrown in the towel before the game started. SM didn't play their best ball but their worst effort of the year was still 32 points better than Grundy!! Now they can officially look forward to the South Pitt game. Which is probably what they were doing Friday.

here we go again...."worst effort" with grundy getting more than sm rushing the ball, sounds like the stud running backs had a hard time running aginst grundy defense. sm fans need to realize that the hamilton county "all-star" team is not that good. quit making excuses, even with pitt. having several kids hurt, they will still beat sm by 3 tds
