I believe richland will go down the list some i watched them play this summer and wasnt impressed. Culleoka looks tough this year and see them winning or coming close this year and though cornersville was going to be good this year saw them too this summer and saw them beating hampshire and richland this year but since they lost their big guy they have been losing by big numbers. Hampsire has no one but will boshiers and haven't heard anything about ca or mtp.

 

yes, since cornersville has lost their big man in the middle, they are struggling hard. they are young & needed the size & experiance that mike lovett gave them in the paint. not to mention the emotional aspect of knowing their big man inside had their back. mike is doing well since his knee repair & has been at every game supporting his team mates. of all the games this year, i think the hampshire games were the ones he was looking forward too the most. he & will are friends. they played AAU ball together this past summer & i know mike was looking forward to going against will on the floor having fun.

Back to brass tax, the district games are back on and SF beat Richland tonight, was anyone at that game? What games do we have on tap in our district?

I know I know---my bad. Who does Santa Fe play tonight? That Priest is on fire and ya'll playing more consistent every game and winning!! Culleoka beat Summertown last night by 8 after almost getting beat by CA---go figure.

Guys, breaking news-Summertown is struggling badly right now....have lost 7 of 8 (the only win being over Mt Pleasant, go figure) and 5 in a row....included in the losses a 51 pter to Spring Hill they had already beaten, Santa Fe, Lawrence County (another team they had already beaten by 23 and is loaded with freshman), Cully (who they had already beaten by double digits)...we may be in the play in game at districts against Clifton if it dont get better

Does anyone have any idea where this short lil sawed off ref has came from in the district..we have had him at Hampshire a lot ...and there has not been a game where he has not T'd someone up..tonite a girls coach was discussing a call with another ref..and he hit him with 1 from accross the floor in a dead ball situation..when he was 30ft from conversation...and every time he makes a call he will stare the kid down wanting a response..just no place for that in basketball.

Even though I'm a transplant to the area..I have a lot of respect for you 12a guys and your knowledge of the game...and trust me u will enjoy him as much as I do..he is a piece of work

Beating Summertown in any sport is an accomplishment, no matter how they are playing. Cully has been struggling lately as well. They have been missing a lot of (mostly open) shots that they should make.

Just would like to vent for a minute. How come is it when Culleoka, or any other team for that matter, beats CA there is only a 4 sentence paragraph on the third page of the sports section? But when CA beats someone, latest example was SF, they get a 8x10 picture and a novel on the front page. I just don't get what makes CA of all schools so much better than the rest of the area schools. They haven't won anything basketball wise, girls or boys, since like 2001. Both Culleoka teams went to the pit and won last week and if you didnt have a magnifying glass handy when looking at the paper, you wouldn't even have known the games took place. Just doesnt seem right.

Used to seem that way with Central years ago when MtP played them in basketball. Let the Tigers win and the caption would read, in small print, MtP OUTLASTED A GREAT CENTRAL LIONS TEAM...never giving credit for the win...lol! Just seems wrong doesn't it?
